    CFTC Approval Fuels Crypto Hype

    CFTC Opens US Perpetual Market

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) approved KalshiEX’s BTCPERP on May 29, marking the first Bitcoin perpetual contract on a US-regulated exchange. This move represents the most significant crypto regulatory action since the Bitcoin ETF approval. The cash-settled contract will trade around the clock and uses a funding mechanism tied to spot prices.

Simultaneously, the CFTC cleared a path for a Coinbase affiliate to connect US customers to options and perpetuals globally through Deribit, its affiliated foreign board of trade. This no-action relief allows Coinbase Financial Markets to accept Bitcoin, Ethereum, and stablecoins as margin collateral for eligible customers.

CFTC Chair Michael Selig stated that the agency had taken “historic action to permit the listing of a true Bitcoin perpetual contract by a CFTC-registered exchange, charting a path for one of the most liquid segments of the crypto asset markets.”

The CFTC is establishing separate regulatory pathways for crypto perpetuals: one for domestic listings on CFTC-registered exchanges and another for offshore products treated as foreign futures under existing regulations.

Markets responded immediately. Coinbase shares gained 4% and Robinhood shares rose 11% on Friday following the approval. Meanwhile, Hyperliquid surged over 30% from its Thursday lows, reaching a new all-time high of $73.50. HYPE has outperformed Bitcoin by 270% this year and has become a leading cryptocurrency in the current market cycle.

While some debate exists regarding the impact of the CFTC news on Hyperliquid, given the potential for increased competition, the market’s reaction suggests that legal perpetuals in the US are beneficial for Hyperliquid.

    Jamie Dimon Criticizes Brian Armstrong

JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon has criticized Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong regarding the Clarity Act, vowing to oppose the crypto market structure bill. Dimon reportedly called Armstrong “full of shit.”

The disagreement centers on the stablecoin yield carve-out. Armstrong has been vocal about preserving the “bona fide activities” exception, which allows platforms to offer rewards on stablecoin balances. Dimon argues that any yield-equivalent reward constitutes deposit competition that threatens the banking system’s deposit base. The core issue is whether stablecoin issuers should be permitted to offer yield-bearing rewards similar to bank deposits.

The Senate reconvenes today after the Memorial Day recess. A floor vote on the Clarity Act is expected within 30 days, according to leadership. The bill passed committee on May 14 with bipartisan support, by a vote of 15-9. It now requires 60 votes—approximately six Democratic crossovers—to advance on the Senate floor.

Prediction markets currently give the Clarity Act a 56% chance of passing this year, although these odds could increase with progress after the recess.

US Seizes $1 Billion in Iranian Crypto

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced that the US has seized approximately $1 billion worth of crypto from Iran, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Tether’s USDT.

The seizures are linked to Iran’s Hormuz Safe platform and related enforcement actions by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), targeting Iranian entities using crypto to circumvent Western sanctions.

This represents the largest single crypto seizure from a hostile state actor since the Department of Justice seized 94,000 BTC from the Bitfinex hack in 2022. The move raises questions about the destination of the seized funds. The US government currently holds approximately 200,000 BTC in its Strategic Bitcoin Reserve (SBR), accumulated through criminal and civil forfeitures.

White House Crypto Advisor Patrick Witt stated in late April that a “major announcement” regarding the SBR was forthcoming “in the next few weeks.” Representative Begich’s American Reserves Modernization Act, which would direct the government to acquire 1 million BTC over five years using budget-neutral strategies, considers using seized assets as part of the accumulation mechanism.

Iranian state media described the seizures as “an act of financial warfare” and reported that Iran’s cyber units are “working to identify and neutralize” the enforcement infrastructure used.

  • Coinbase Enables Direct Rupee Deposits and Withdrawals in India

Coinbase Enables Direct Rupee Deposits and Withdrawals in India

Coinbase Launches Direct INR Banking Rails in India

Coinbase has introduced direct Indian Rupee (INR) banking rails in India, enabling deposits and withdrawals through the country’s Immediate Payment Service (IMPS). This eliminates the need for peer-to-peer intermediaries and streamlines the onboarding process for local users.

    New Trading Features

The exchange has established dedicated INR order books, allowing Indian users to trade directly in rupees without converting through stablecoins or other intermediary assets. Coinbase has also launched perpetual futures contracts for major cryptocurrencies, providing Indian traders with access to leveraged instruments.

Coinbase is now live in India with direct INR rails, offering users across the country seamless access to global liquidity and institutional-grade execution at competitive trading costs.

    Executive Statements

John O’Loghlen, Coinbase Regional Managing Director, APAC, stated that the exchange is “here for the long term” and has “invested meaningfully in the Indian ecosystem” in recent years.

Akshay Chugh, Coinbase India Product Lead, noted that the direct INR rails are “Gradually rolling out to all users,” and that “India is one of the most important markets for Coinbase globally.”

    Regulatory Compliance and Market Growth

The infrastructure upgrades leverage Coinbase’s registration with India’s Financial Intelligence Unit, the government agency overseeing crypto compliance. This direct banking integration represents a significant technical advancement for international exchanges operating in India, where regulatory uncertainty has previously led platforms to rely on workarounds.

India has maintained its position as the global leader in crypto adoption for the third consecutive year, according to the 2025 Chainalysis Global Crypto Adoption Index. The Indian cryptocurrency market reached $3.04 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach $14.21 billion by 2034, with a compound annual growth rate of 18.66%.

    Historical Context

This market expansion occurs despite India’s 30% tax on crypto gains and a 1% tax deducted at source on all transactions, among the highest crypto tax rates globally.

Coinbase’s current infrastructure marks a significant shift from its troubled 2022 India launch, when the exchange suspended UPI payment support shortly after the National Payments Corporation of India issued a public statement. Chief Executive Brian Armstrong attributed the suspension to “informal pressure” from the Reserve Bank of India, forcing Coinbase to operate with crypto-to-crypto trades only.

The exchange exited India entirely before returning in December 2025 with Financial Intelligence Unit registration. The two-year absence allowed Indian exchanges like CoinDCX and WazirX to gain market share while Coinbase navigated regulatory requirements and invested in the local ecosystem, including in CoinDCX.

  • BitGo CEO Predicts Stablecoin Crisis as MiCA Deadline Nears

BitGo CEO Predicts Stablecoin Crisis as MiCA Deadline Nears

    Stablecoin Crisis Warning

BitGo CEO Mike Belshe is cautioning that the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework could trigger a “massive stablecoin crisis” if major USD-backed crypto issuers fail to meet the bloc’s compliance requirements before the July 1, 2026, enforcement deadline.

This warning comes as exchanges operating in the EU are already assessing which tokens will survive the regulatory changes.

    Concerns Regarding Non-Compliant Stablecoins

Belshe’s concern centers on the potential consequences of non-compliant stablecoins, particularly Tether’s USDT, facing mass delisting across EU platforms simultaneously. He argues that this would not result in an orderly market transition but rather a liquidity crisis.

The MiCA regulation, which came into effect on June 29, 2023, with its stablecoin provisions (Titles III and IV) applying from June 30, 2024, will see full enforcement, including the delisting of non-compliant tokens, by July 2026.

Under MiCA, any stablecoin pegged to a single official currency, such as the US dollar, is classified as an e-money token, which brings with it banking-grade obligations. Issuers of e-money tokens must be licensed as EU credit institutions or e-money institutions, hold backing assets in segregated, highly liquid instruments, and guarantee par-value redemption at any time.

For Tether, which has largely operated outside EU regulatory frameworks, this represents a significant structural overhaul.

    Structural Gaps and Systemic Risk

Belshe highlights that the EU lacks a robust safety net for stablecoin issuers. EU deposit insurance is capped at €100,000 per depositor, offering the same protection to a stablecoin issuer holding billions in reserves as a retail savings account.

Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino has previously stated that the requirement to hold a significant portion of reserves in EU-regulated banks creates its own systemic risk, potentially leading to the very bank-run exposure that MiCA aims to prevent.

The regulation also empowers the European Banking Authority (EBA) to impose transaction caps on tokens deemed “significant,” with potential thresholds around €200 million in daily EU transaction value. For USDT, which accounts for over 90% of global stablecoin trading volume, this cap would be quickly reached, potentially disrupting EU operations.

    Contrasting Regulatory Approaches

The stablecoin regulation in Europe contrasts sharply with the more permissive approach emerging in the United States, where discussions have leaned towards lighter-touch frameworks.

Belshe’s primary argument is not that MiCA’s goals are misguided but that the transition timeline creates a “cliff edge.” If USDT loses its listings on EU exchanges before compliant alternatives are readily available, traders could face illiquid trading pairs with no equivalent dollar-liquidity pool to absorb the volume. This could lead to wider slippage, price discrepancies between EU and global markets, and impaired arbitrage opportunities.

    Circle’s Position and Market Depth

Circle, the issuer of USDC, has positioned itself as a primary beneficiary of this shift. Circle holds EU e-money institution licensing and has structured both USDC and its euro-denominated EURC to meet MiCA’s reserve and custody requirements. Circle France has also received approval to offer crypto-asset services in the EU, enabling MiCA-compliant custody and transfer services for USDC and EURC across the European Economic Area.

However, Belshe warns that USDC and EURC may not yet possess the market depth to replace USDT liquidity overnight without causing the very turmoil MiCA seeks to prevent.

    Liquidity Crisis Concerns

The EU crypto market is substantial. A forced migration of billions in stablecoin volume into thinner compliant pools would not be a smooth transition but rather a liquidity crisis, compressed into a regulatory deadline.

If Tether fails to secure MiCA-compliant licensing before the July 2026 deadline, EU-regulated exchanges will face a binary choice: delist USDT or risk regulatory sanctions. Several major platforms, including Coinbase’s EU operation, have already begun restricting USDT access for European users ahead of the deadline.

If exchanges delist USDT across EU jurisdictions simultaneously, the liquidity shock will be concentrated within a narrow timeframe. Traders holding USDT-denominated positions in EU accounts would need to migrate into compliant assets, such as USDC, EURC, or fiat, under time pressure and into shallower order books.

Belshe’s warning centers on this potential forced liquidation event driven by the regulatory calendar, rather than market fundamentals.

The critical factor is not whether MiCA enforcement will occur, as it is expected to. Instead, the key variables are whether Tether will move towards compliance and whether regulators will provide any transitional relief for existing large stablecoins during the adjustment period, neither of which is currently guaranteed.

  • Lummis: Delaying Crypto Bill Means No Regulation Until 2030

Lummis: Delaying Crypto Bill Means No Regulation Until 2030

Senator Lummis Warns of Crypto Regulation Delay

Senator Cynthia Lummis has issued a stark warning: failure to pass the CLARITY Act now will effectively delay comprehensive U.S. crypto regulation until 2030.

The rationale is straightforward: if the bill fails to pass the Senate in the current legislative session, the 2026 election cycle will severely limit available floor time. The next realistic opportunity for a comprehensive market-structure framework would then be at the earliest in the subsequent Congress.

For institutional investors, this timeline is not merely a political consideration. It represents an operational constraint that compliance teams at major asset managers and trading desks are already factoring into their investment decisions, increasingly favoring jurisdictions with established regulatory frameworks.

If the United States does not establish the global standard for digital asset regulation, other nations will. China is actively developing its own regulatory approach. The CLARITY Act is seen as a means for the U.S. to lead and prevent adversaries from shaping the rules of the next financial era.

The U.S. has primarily regulated digital assets through enforcement actions, utilizing SEC litigation, CFTC actions, and agency guidance rather than statutes to define permissible activities in the crypto market.

The SEC’s enforcement actions have functioned as de facto rulemaking since at least 2017, from the DAO Report to ICO crackdowns and the Ripple and Coinbase litigation.

This enforcement-based approach creates uncertainty: firms learn about penalties after the fact but lack clarity on what is permitted beforehand.

While this asymmetry may be tolerable for crypto-native firms, it is unacceptable for compliance departments at institutions like BlackRock, Fidelity, or JPMorgan.

A four-to-five-year extension of this regulatory regime, effectively a 2030 deadline, would not only delay U.S. institutional adoption but also establish rival jurisdictions as the default for compliant tokenization, stablecoin issuance, and institutional DeFi infrastructure during the critical period of market development.

    Capital Migration and Regulatory Freeze

The mechanism by which regulatory inaction leads to capital migration is clear. Without a statutory framework resolving the jurisdictional split between the SEC and CFTC, compliance teams cannot approve crypto trading operations under existing bank-grade internal policies.

Without approved trading desks, custody arrangements cannot be structured to meet fiduciary standards. Without compliant custody, institutional liquidity, which drives market movements and narrows spreads, does not flow into U.S. spot venues.

This liquidity will go elsewhere. The EU’s MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets) regulation, adopted in 2023 and fully implemented in 2024, with application to crypto-asset service providers and stablecoin issuers completed by 2025, provides a passporting framework across all 27 EU member states. This offers a single licensing path, providing institutional desks with the certainty that U.S. law currently lacks.

Singapore’s MAS regime, operating under the 2019 Payment Services Act, has already attracted tokenization pilots with JPMorgan, DBS, and Temasek through Project Guardian, drawing institutional liquidity into Asia.

Dubai’s VARA regime has attracted Binance, OKX, and Bybit as these exchanges scaled back or restructured their U.S. operations due to enforcement pressure.

Polymarket and similar prediction platforms estimate a mid-50s to high-50s percentage probability that a federal market-structure bill like the CLARITY Act will become law by the end of 2026. This coin-flip probability is actively hedged by macro funds via CME bitcoin and ether futures and offshore perpetuals, shifting liquidity from U.S. spot venues to derivatives venues in Europe and Asia.

The CLARITY Act’s impact on liquidity markets is already being priced in, even before the bill has passed.

Key Provisions of the CLARITY Act

The CLARITY Act’s core structure addresses the ambiguity that has made U.S. crypto compliance untenable for institutional actors.

The bill establishes a jurisdictional division between the SEC and CFTC based on whether a digital asset functions as a security or a commodity. It also creates a decentralization certification pathway allowing assets to transition from securities treatment as their networks mature and includes consumer protection provisions governing asset segregation in the event of exchange insolvency.

The bill cleared committee with a 15-9 vote, indicating significant opposition but sufficient support to advance.

Senator Lummis warns that the committee’s outcome is irrelevant if floor time is unavailable. Without these statutory provisions, the question of whether a token is a security remains resolved only through litigation, forcing institutional actors to either accept legal risk or abstain. Most choose to abstain.

Jamie Dimon has publicly advocated for bank-like capital and AML standards for stablecoin issuers, warning that lighter treatment creates regulatory arbitrage with the banking system.

This concern is valid regardless of one’s stance on the CLARITY Act, but it underscores that even traditional finance actors who desire stricter rules need a statutory framework to work from.

The Financial Stability Board finalized global crypto policy recommendations in 2023, which the EU and Asian regulators are implementing. The U.S. Congress has yet to provide the equivalent foundation.

  • Expert Predicts XRP Surge Based on Macroeconomic Factors

Expert Predicts XRP Surge Based on Macroeconomic Factors

XRP’s Potential Surge to $1,000: A Macroeconomic Thesis

Jake Claver has presented a macroeconomic argument for why XRP could eventually reach $1,000. In a May 31 interview with MissCrypto, Claver posited that the asset could benefit from a convergence of global liquidity stress, stablecoin regulation, tokenization, and demand for real-time settlement. He acknowledged that this target appears extreme based on traditional market capitalization frameworks, but argued that investors are misapplying these frameworks to assets designed to support global settlement networks.

Claver stated, “I know that seems like a high price point for a lot of people. They look at the total market cap and they look at the total supply and the tokenomics around it, and in most circumstances that wouldn’t be feasible just candidly. That situation is a perfect storm that I do think will play out. I think at this point it’s very likely that it will play out actually.”

    The Macroeconomic Drivers

At the core of Claver’s argument is the potential unwinding of the yen carry trade, which he believes began showing signs of stress in August 2024. For decades, investors have borrowed cheaply in Japan and invested that capital in US Treasuries, equities, real estate, gold, silver, and other global assets. If Japanese interest rates rise while US rates decline, capital could flow back into Japanese bonds, leading to large-scale selling of US Treasuries and other assets.

Claver explained, “A lot of people focus narrowly on the crypto space and they think that this is retail driven. I would challenge that and say that a lot of the volume that we’ve seen move into crypto over the last really two years has been institutionally driven.”

He believes that crypto infrastructure will become crucial in this scenario. If traditional markets experience a disorderly repricing, the back end of the stock and foreign exchange markets will require faster liquidity and settlement rails.

“Crypto has a big role to play here and it is the liquidity and movement to real-time settlement for the back end of the stock market and the FX market,” he said. “Because both of those things are going to be affected when all of this plays out. If there’s not enough liquidity or credit that can be extended to these parties, we will literally have an ICE 9 scenario.”

Claver emphasized that such a scenario would trigger a broader repricing across global markets, potentially resulting in trillions of dollars being withdrawn from various markets.

Stablecoin Legislation, Treasury Demand, and Tether Risks

Claver also links his thesis to stablecoin legislation and Treasury demand. He noted that the US did not have a stablecoin bill in place in 2024, but that after its passage in 2025, regulated stablecoins could create domestic demand for Treasuries returning to the market. He also pointed to expected guidance from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) for banks issuing stablecoins, with the comment period ending May 1 and potential guidance by July 18.

A significant part of Claver’s thesis involves the potential pressure on Tether, stemming from geopolitical developments, sanctions risks, or concerns about its reserves. He noted that while Tether holds a large Treasury position, the lack of a full audit and the presence of Bitcoin and other assets on its balance sheet raise questions.

“They have a significant position, but a large portion of their balance sheet is Bitcoin and other assets,” Claver said. “They’ve never had a full audit. And why would you launch a US compliant stablecoin if you intended to make the other stablecoin that you have compliant over the three-year period that you have to do that?”

He suggested that any liquidity disruption at the stablecoin level could affect exchanges and Bitcoin, especially if mismatches related to exchange-traded fund (ETF) settlements become more apparent. Bitcoin settles on-chain within approximately 30 to 45 minutes, while the stock market operates on a T+1 settlement cycle. If traditional markets fail to transition to T+0 settlement, institutions might be compelled to adopt assets and networks better suited for real-time value transfer.

“I think that you’re going to see an onslaught of XRP ETFs and a huge rotation of liquidity into that asset,” Claver said. “There’s not a whole lot left on exchanges at this point. It’s very low liquidity for XRP on exchanges. And that would drive the price substantially higher where they could then start using it to settle the back end of the stock market.”

Claver believes this dynamic could also help “derisk the currency market,” adding that XRP “solves a lot of the problems that are going to occur when this unwind happens.”

The Clarity Act and the Broader Market

Claver views the Clarity Act as important but not the sole catalyst. He believes the legislation could provide clarity for digital assets and address issues related to decentralized finance (DeFi) regulations, taxation, liquidity pools, and Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements. However, he suggested that regulators might act faster than Congress if the OCC provides banks with clear guidance on stablecoin issuance.

Claver acknowledged that XRP is not the only network positioned for value transfer, mentioning Solana, Hedera, Stellar, and XRPL-based tokenization tools as potential participants in a broader market shift. However, he argued that XRPL’s native features, including digital identity credentials, permissioned domains, a permissioned DEX, oracles, automated market maker (AMM) functionality, and multi-purpose tokens, give it a strategic advantage.

“There’s just a lot of things that have been built into the XRPL over time that I think give it a strategic advantage alongside the lawsuit and the clarity that they have from that lawsuit with the SEC here domestically in the US,” Claver said.

Claver repeatedly emphasized that the $1,000 XRP scenario is a theory, not a certainty. However, his overall perspective is clear: if macro stress forces traditional markets toward faster settlement and if regulated stablecoins and tokenized assets accelerate institutional adoption, XRP could become one of the assets most directly impacted by this transition.

At the time of this report, XRP was trading at $1.30.

BNB Price Target Raised to $780, With $1,000 in Sight

BNB Price Poised for Further Gains as Bullish Signals Emerge

BNB’s growth has mirrored the performance of the Binance crypto exchange, surging in value as the exchange expanded. This has established BNB as one of the largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization. With the market showing signs of recovery, speculation surrounding BNB’s future price trajectory is intensifying.

    Bullish Indicators Align

Crypto analyst Melikatrader94, writing on TradingView, has presented a trading plan for BNB, indicating a convergence of bullish factors. A key observation is the formation of a clear double bottom pattern on the daily chart.

Historically, a double bottom formation on the daily chart often signals an impending trend reversal. Given the preceding bearish trend, this suggests a shift in favor of the bulls. This is reflected in BNB’s recent performance, which has seen a rapid price increase over the past week.

The analyst noted that the initial resistance level, located at the neckline, was between $680 and $690. BNB has surpassed this resistance, positioning the price for further gains.

    Price Targets and Potential Upside

Following the breakout above the neckline resistance, the analyst suggests waiting for a retest of this resistance level to confirm the uptrend.

Once the breakout pattern is fully validated, the analyst projects a BNB price target of $780. This would confirm the upward movement initiated last week and sustained through the weekend. If the momentum continues, BNB could potentially reach even higher prices, possibly hitting $1,000 in an optimistic scenario.

Further supporting the bullish outlook is the fact that the BNB Relative Strength Index (RSI) is displaying higher lows. As the analysis explains, “Adding to the bullish case, RSI continues to print higher lows, highlighting strengthening momentum and growing buyer participation despite recent consolidation.”

  • Bitcoin Price: Three Factors to Watch This Week

Bitcoin Price: Three Factors to Watch This Week

Crypto markets remained stagnant over the weekend, following significant losses last week. Bitcoin and Ether continue to struggle, lacking any immediate factors to trigger a recovery.

    Economic Data in Focus

This week, investors will be closely watching new labor market data and updated figures on manufacturing and services activity.

“We also await further details about a potential US-Iran deal, which appears to be dragging on again,” stated The Kobeissi Letter.

The May ISM Manufacturing PMI report, due on Monday, will provide insights into the US manufacturing sector. This will be followed by April’s JOLTS Job Openings data on Tuesday and the May ISM Non-Manufacturing PMI data on Wednesday. Initial Jobless Claims data is scheduled for Thursday, and the crucial May Jobs Report will be released on Friday.

The labor market data is particularly important, as it is one of the Federal Reserve’s two mandates for monetary policy decisions. The outlook is currently mixed, with hiring exceeding expectations in April and May, though experts hold differing views. Some economists believe the labor market is strengthening after a slow year in 2025, while others suggest the growth reflects increased demand for healthcare workers due to an aging population, rather than broader economic expansion.

    Key Events This Week:

    1. May ISM Manufacturing PMI data – Monday
    2. April JOLTS Job Openings data – Tuesday
    3. May ISM Non-Manufacturing PMI data – Wednesday
    4. Initial Jobless Claims data – Thursday
    5. May Jobs Report – Friday
    6. Total of 7 Fed Speaker Events This Week…

The major stock indexes concluded a month of gains at record highs last week, fueled by enthusiasm for tech stocks and declining oil prices, while the crypto market remained in a bearish trend.

Bitcoin ended May with a 3.6% loss, following two months of gains. It reached a weekend high of $74,000 but failed to sustain the momentum, falling back towards $73,000 during Monday morning trading. The asset has lost 5% over the past week and is approaching the lower end of its four-month-long range-bound channel.

Ether fell below the $2,000 level again on Monday morning after trading just above it for most of the weekend.

“Several meaningful catalysts are converging in June that could prove significant for Bitcoin’s near-term trajectory,” reported 10x Research on Monday. “The headwinds are real and visible: ETF outflows, stablecoin contraction, and trading volumes at historic lows all point to near-zero conviction, but that is precisely the environment we anticipated for a major cycle bottom.”

  • Hyperliquid’s HYPE Token Hits All-Time High Above $73

Hyperliquid’s HYPE Token Hits All-Time High Above $73

Hyperliquid’s native cryptocurrency, HYPE, has experienced a significant surge in value, becoming one of the strongest performers in the crypto market in recent weeks. Today alone, the token reached a new all-time high, surpassing $73.

    Factors Driving the Rally

This increase coincides with a broader trend of growing institutional interest, substantial inflows into exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and continued momentum for Hyperliquid as a leading on-chain derivatives ecosystem.

Over the past 24 hours, HYPE has extended its impressive uptrend, climbing more than 5% and exceeding $73 to establish a new all-time high. This latest surge concludes a robust five-day rally for the cryptocurrency. HYPE had already gained traction last week, with buyers consistently defending higher lows and pushing the token past several key resistance levels.

Over the past seven days, the token has increased by more than 20%, and its 30-day gains have exceeded 75%. This performance has propelled HYPE into the top 10 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, surpassing the market cap of Dogecoin (DOGE).

    ETF Inflows and Institutional Interest

Besides improved fundamentals and overall trading volume, another significant factor contributing to the rally appears to be the increasing demand for HYPE-linked exchange-traded products.

According to data from SoSoValue, US spot HYPE ETFs recorded over $9 million in one-day net inflows on May 29th, bringing total net assets above $135 million.

Grayscale has also added to the bullish sentiment. The asset manager is reportedly in discussions with Hyper Holdings Global LP for a seed investment of approximately 2 million HYPE tokens, currently valued at over $140 million, for its proposed Grayscale Hyperliquid Staking ETF. The fund is expected to trade on Nasdaq under the ticker HYPG, further fueling expectations of increased institutional access to HYPE.

    XRP Price Faces Downward Correction

The price of XRP has begun a downward correction, falling below the $1.3420 mark. Currently exhibiting bearish signals, the cryptocurrency may decline further, potentially dropping below $1.3150.

    Technical Analysis

XRP’s price initiated a downward correction after failing to sustain its position above $1.3450. The price is currently trading above $1.3150 and the 100-hourly Simple Moving Average. A declining channel is forming, with resistance at $1.3380 on the hourly chart for the XRP/USD pair, according to data from Kraken. The pair could continue its downward trajectory if it remains below $1.3420.

    Price Dips Below Support

XRP struggled to maintain its position above $1.3520 and subsequently began a fresh decline, mirroring the trends of Bitcoin and Ethereum. The price dipped below the $1.350 and $1.3450 levels, eventually falling below $1.3420. This move included a clear break below the 38.2% Fibonacci retracement level, calculated from the upward movement between the $1.2658 swing low and the $1.3642 high.

A declining channel is forming, with resistance at $1.3380 on the hourly chart for the XRP/USD pair. The price is currently trading above $1.3150 and the 100-hourly Simple Moving Average.

If the price initiates a fresh upward movement, it may encounter resistance near the $1.3380 level. The initial major resistance is near $1.3420, above which the price could potentially rise to test $1.350. A decisive move above the $1.350 resistance could push the price towards the $1.3580 resistance and the trend line. Further gains might lead to a test of the $1.3650 resistance. The next significant challenge for bulls could be near $1.3740.

    Potential for Further Decline

If XRP fails to surpass the $1.3380 resistance zone, a fresh decline could be triggered. Initial support on the downside is near the $1.320 level.
