Bitcoin Holdings Hit 35,595 BTC Amid Wall Street Price Target Hike

TD Cowen Boosts Strive Price Target Amid Bitcoin Accumulation

TD Cowen has reportedly increased its price target for Strive, a Bitcoin treasury company, from $44 to $56. This adjustment follows Strive’s significant expansion of its Bitcoin holdings, which now stand at 35,595 BTC. The company is also actively seeking substantial financing through a preferred share offering.

Strive is capturing renewed interest from Wall Street following an aggressive buying spree that has propelled its reported Bitcoin reserves to 35,595 BTC. In a research update dated October 16, analysts at TD Cowen revised their share-price target for Strive upwards, citing the rapid pace of the company’s Bitcoin acquisitions. Strive has amassed thousands of BTC in a matter of weeks, surpassing some earlier analyst projections.

Growing Treasury Requires Capital Infusion

Strive’s operational strategy hinges on its ability to raise capital and acquire more Bitcoin. Its announced purchases have positioned it among the larger corporate holders of the cryptocurrency, although it remains significantly behind MicroStrategy in terms of total holdings.

The firm has also detailed its plans for a substantial preferred stock offering. The proposed sale of seven million shares at $90 per share is expected to generate approximately $630 million in gross proceeds before expenses, assuming the terms are met. This type of financing allows companies to raise cash without the immediate dilution that comes with issuing common shares, though preferred dividends introduce ongoing costs. Strive has consistently increased its Bitcoin holdings, including a prior purchase that brought its treasury above 26,000 BTC.

Bitcoin Per Share Remains the Key Metric

An increasing total Bitcoin balance does not automatically translate to benefits for existing shareholders if the company simultaneously increases its share count or incurs costly financing obligations. Consequently, investors must evaluate Bitcoin holdings in conjunction with the capital structure that underpins them.

TD Cowen’s elevated price target reflects optimism regarding Strive’s execution capabilities, but it remains an analyst’s projection rather than a definitive future price. The company’s upcoming financing activities and treasury disclosures will be crucial in determining whether it can continue to expand its Bitcoin exposure on terms that are economically viable for its shareholders.
