Binance Futures to Update GUAUSDT Perpetual Contract Parameters
Binance Futures has announced that it will conclude the Last Price Protected (LPP) period for the USDⓈ-Margined GUAUSDT Perpetual Contract. Effective July 10, 2026, at 10:30 UTC, the Mark Price for this contract will transition from the LPP mechanism to the standard Mark Price calculation.
The transition process is expected to take up to three hours, depending on market volatility and the availability of a stable index price. To ensure market stability and mitigate the risk of sudden price fluctuations, Binance will implement a mark price smoothing process throughout this period. Trading functionality will remain unaffected, and all existing open orders and positions will remain active.
Revised Mark Price Calculation
Following the conclusion of the LPP period, the Mark Price will be determined by the following formula:
Mark Price = Median (Price 1, Price 2, Contract Price)
For specific details regarding the formulas for Price 1 and Price 2, users should consult the official documentation on Mark Price and Price Index for USDⓈ-Margined Futures.
Adjustments to Funding Rate Rules
Upon the expiration of the LPP period, the GUAUSDT contract will adhere to standard perpetual futures funding rate protocols. The capped funding rate will be adjusted from the current +/-0.005% to +/-2.00%, effective July 10, 2026, at 10:30 UTC.
The scheduled adjustments are as follows:
| Time (UTC) | Maximum Funding Rate |
| :— | :— |
| 2026-07-10 08:00 | +0.005% / -0.005% |

Additionally, the funding interval will shift from every four hours to every one hour once the funding rate settlement reaches the +/-2.00% threshold.
