  • Bitcoin Stabilizes Near $73,000, Stellar Surges 25%.

Bitcoin Stabilizes Near $73,000, Stellar Surges 25%.

The cryptocurrency market has stabilized somewhat in the last 24 hours following a significant correction that drove Bitcoin and most major altcoins downward earlier in the week.

    Stellar’s Surge

Stellar (XLM) stands out among the top altcoins, continuing its substantial daily gains while the broader market remains under pressure.

    Bitcoin’s Recovery

Bitcoin’s recent weekly correction saw the asset fall below $73,000 amid renewed market pressure. The primary cryptocurrency has since recovered, currently trading at $73,400.

Intraday volatility has been present, with prices fluctuating between $72,200 and $74,200 before settling at current levels as the weekend begins.

Bitcoin’s market capitalization remains above $1.47 billion, and its dominance over altcoins is largely unchanged, suggesting that altcoins have not capitalized on Bitcoin’s weakness. This weakness may have been influenced by declining ETF flows, which have seen record outflows in recent days.

The $73,000 level is now a key area to watch. A decisive break below this level could trigger a further decline, potentially to $70,000, while a move above $74,000 might alleviate some short-term pressure.

    Altcoin Performance

The altcoin market presents a mixed picture, with most large-cap assets experiencing modest movements rather than sharp recoveries in the last 24 hours.

Ethereum (ETH) is trading near $2,000, while SOL, XRP, and several other major cryptocurrencies show limited changes. BNB has performed best among the top altcoins, rising by over 5% on the day.

XRP is also slightly in the green, while ETH and SOL remain relatively flat compared to their levels from 24 hours ago.

Stellar (XLM), however, is in a different category. The altcoin has surged by approximately 25% in the last day and is trading near $0.20, making it one of the strongest performers among mid-cap cryptocurrencies.

This surge follows the announcement by DTCC that its tokenization service will connect with the Stellar public blockchain. This move is expected to support tokenized DTC-custodied assets, including stocks, ETFs, treasuries, and corporate bonds, with availability targeted for the first half of 2027.

Other notable performers for the day include LAB, up 37.5%; Algorand’s ALGO, up 9.5%; and XDC Network (XDC), up 9%.

    Hyperliquid Vaults Deliver Impressive Returns

Hyperliquid, known for its on-chain perpetuals exchange, also offers vaults where users can deposit funds and follow specific trading strategies. One of these vaults recently achieved a remarkable 638% APY last month, attracting significant attention.

    Understanding Hyperliquid Vaults

Hyperliquid vaults are a notable feature of the decentralized derivatives exchange, enabling traders to participate in shared strategies. These vaults function like pooled trading accounts. A vault leader executes a specific strategy, and other users can deposit funds to gain exposure to the results. Profits are shared among depositors, as are losses.

What distinguishes these vaults is their direct integration with HyperCore. This allows vault strategies to leverage the exchange’s infrastructure, including leverage, liquidations, perpetuals, and high-throughput execution. While offering potentially high returns for passive investors, vaults also carry significant risk. Returns can fluctuate dramatically, particularly when leverage is used or concentrated directional bets are made.

Essentially, vaults can be viewed as on-chain copy trading with pooled capital. The strategy is fully transparent, performance is trackable, and users can assess whether the risk profile aligns with their portfolios.

The “Long HYPE & BTC, Short Garbage” Vault

One particular vault on Hyperliquid has gained attention after generating a 638% APY over the past month. Named “Long HYPE & BTC, Short Garbage,” the vault currently manages approximately $3.03 million in total value locked.

The strategy involves a 70% long position in HYPE and a 30% long position in BTC. It also maintains short positions in a basket of at least 10 high-FDV and high-emission coins, with the short side representing about 60% of notional exposure.

The vault’s performance chart indicates a substantial increase in profit and loss (PnL) over the past 30 days, approaching $1.2 million.

It’s important to note that this performance should not be interpreted as a low-risk yield. The vault’s success reflects an aggressive, leveraged long-short crypto trade heavily reliant on HYPE’s price performance.

Uniswap Faces Downward Pressure Amidst Significant Exchange Inflows

Uniswap is struggling to regain higher price levels as selling pressure continues to push the price down from levels that briefly offered hope of a sustained recovery. While the weakness is evident, and the direction appears clear, an analysis by CryptoQuant tracking Binance exchange flows has identified a dramatic shift in UNI’s flow dynamics. This shift warrants attention regardless of one’s perspective on the market’s direction.

    Extreme Inflow Acceleration on Binance

The seven-day average Binance netflow for UNI has turned sharply positive, reaching +145,829 UNI. This represents a 6,019% deviation above the three-month baseline. This is not a moderate increase in exchange deposits, but one of the most extreme inflow accelerations recorded in UNI’s recent on-chain history. This has been concentrated in a period where the price is already declining.

The scale becomes more pronounced at the individual session level. On May 25, Binance received a single-day inflow spike of 1.8 million UNI. On May 27, this figure exceeded 3.1 million UNI in a single session. In just two days, nearly five million UNI arrived on the world’s largest exchange while the price fell from above $4.20 to around $3.10.

This inflow surge is not driven by retail activity. Total inflow volume rose 183% above the three-month average, while the average transaction size per inflow jumped 285%. This indicates that larger holders are making deliberate, large-scale decisions to move UNI onto Binance.

    Implications of the Inflow Surge

The CryptoQuant analysis highlights the supply dynamic. When exchange inflows accelerate while prices decline simultaneously, it suggests that holders are positioning tokens for potential sale rather than moving assets into self-custody for long-term holding. The intent behind these deposits differs from the accumulation behavior seen during constructive market phases. The scale of the current inflow acceleration leaves little doubt about the intentions of the largest UNI holders.

While Binance has absorbed the bulk of the incoming supply, its USD-denominated reserve has decreased by 4.95% despite the token inflows. The falling price is partially offsetting the volume of tokens arriving, meaning the exchange holds more UNI but less dollar value. This dynamic suggests that supply is arriving faster than the price can stabilize to reflect it.

    Ecosystem Activity Remains Intact

Network data provides additional context, preventing a purely bearish interpretation. Active addresses are running 3% above the three-month baseline, indicating that Uniswap’s ecosystem activity remains intact despite the price weakness and the exchange inflow surge. The protocol is still being used. The selling pressure is not a reflection of fundamental deterioration.

The next few sessions will determine the outcome. Traders monitoring this setup should watch whether the deposited UNI converts into aggressive selling or reverses into outflows as buyers absorb the supply before drawing conclusions about UNI’s next directional move.

Technical Analysis: Price Tests Critical Support

UNI remains under significant selling pressure, currently trading near $3.02 after losing the short-term support that held throughout most of April and May. The daily chart shows a clear bearish structure, characterized by lower highs and lower lows since the November peak above $10.00. Despite several recovery attempts during the first quarter of 2024, bulls have been unable to reclaim any major resistance level, allowing sellers to maintain control of the broader trend.

The recent rejection from the $4.00-$4.20 region proved particularly significant. That rally briefly pushed UNI above its short-term moving averages and generated optimism for a larger recovery, but buyers failed to sustain momentum. Since then, the price has declined sharply and broken below the 50-day and 100-day moving averages, which now act as dynamic resistance around the $3.30-$3.50 region.

Volume has increased during the latest decline, suggesting that the move is supported by active selling. The current area around $3.00 represents a critical support zone, as it marks the lowest levels reached since the February capitulation event. If bulls fail to defend this region, UNI could enter price discovery towards lower support levels. To regain momentum, buyers would first need to reclaim the $3.50 area and establish a higher low structure above it.

  • Coinbase to Offer Crypto Derivatives to US Institutions After CFTC Approval

Coinbase to Offer Crypto Derivatives to US Institutions After CFTC Approval

The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has cleared the way for Coinbase and other CFTC-registered exchanges to offer regulated access to global crypto derivatives markets.

Coinbase Opens Access to Global Crypto Derivatives

On Friday, Coinbase announced that its subsidiary, Coinbase Financial Markets (CFM), has become the first US-regulated Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) to provide its domestic clients with access to global crypto derivatives markets. Coinbase explained that crypto derivatives account for approximately 80% of global crypto trading volume, with options, perpetual futures, and other instruments driving the majority of that activity across international venues. However, US customers have not had regulated access to this multi-trillion-dollar market until now. As a result, some institutional clients were required to establish offshore entities to access these markets, incurring additional counterparty exposure and infrastructure costs.

“Today that changes. Guidance issued by the CFTC positions Coinbase Financial Markets as the first CFTC-regulated FCM to connect US clients to global crypto options and perpetual futures liquidity. US clients will at long last have a fully regulated, compliant solution to access all of crypto’s largest markets,” the company stated.

According to the announcement, US clients can now access global crypto perpetuals and options on futures without resorting to offshore workarounds through Coinbase Financial Markets, including access to Deribit, which holds over $31 billion in Bitcoin (BTC) options open interest. Coinbase Financial Markets has begun onboarding institutional clients, offering live access to Deribit options. Perpetual futures and additional collateral types are planned, with broader client access, including retail, also in the pipeline.

    CFTC Guidance Paves Regulated Path

The announcement follows a Friday statement from the CFTC confirming the categorization of certain crypto asset perpetuals as “foreign futures,” as well as a non-action letter regarding FCM transfers of customer crypto assets to foreign brokers as margin. The Market Participants Division (MPD) confirmed in its letter that the described perpetual contracts “may be categorized as foreign futures as defined in Commission Regulation 30.1.” Additionally, the division will not recommend the Commission take enforcement action against CFM for “posting customer-owned digital commodities and payment stablecoins with CFM’s foreign broker affiliate to margin its foreign futures and foreign options positions on CFM’s affiliate foreign board of trade under circumstances where the foreign broker has obtained a right of re-use over the customer-owned assets.”

Coinbase and its CEO, Brian Armstrong, expressed gratitude to CFTC Chairman Michael Selig and the regulatory agency for “recognizing that US customers deserve regulated access to these critical markets.”

Simultaneously, the CFTC revealed it had issued an Order approving Kalshi to list the BTCPERP Contract, a perpetual contract referencing the spot price of Bitcoin, as a futures contract, making it the company’s first product beyond event contracts. Selig affirmed that the action to onshore crypto asset perpetuals “reflects the CFTC’s commitment to fostering responsible innovation while ensuring that these novel products are traded on regulated exchanges that uphold customer protections and market integrity.”

  • XRP Liquidity on Coinbase Seven Times Higher Than Sales

XRP Liquidity on Coinbase Seven Times Higher Than Sales

Traders are closely watching XRP, the cryptocurrency, following Stellar’s recent 40% weekly surge, and speculating whether the older and larger token could be next to experience significant gains. The two assets have historically moved in similar patterns, and some analysts believe the current market setup is becoming familiar.

XRP and XLM: A Potential Correlation

Analyst Kevin Cage noted that while Stellar (XLM) has broken out after months of sideways trading, XRP has remained range-bound. Reports suggest that if momentum builds, some traders anticipate XRP could reach the $1.76 to $2 range sometime in June.

XRP itself has seen a 2.50% increase in the past 24 hours. However, it remains down 2.50% over the last seven days and approximately 5% over the past month. The price is currently hovering near the $1.23 to $1.30 liquidity zone on Coinbase’s spot market.

    Order Book Analysis on Coinbase

Analyst Dom, using the handle @traderview2 on X, highlighted interesting findings from Coinbase’s XRP order book. According to Dom, a heatmap of the order book reveals a significant concentration of buy orders below the current price, while sell orders above are comparatively smaller. He estimates the difference at roughly seven times, indicating that the buy-side depth significantly outweighs the selling pressure.

Dom emphasized that order books reflect trader intentions rather than guaranteeing price movements, but he believes the data is still significant. He cited a 2025 Bitcoin call where similar order book readings supported his bearish outlook before Bitcoin’s price fell by around 30%. This suggests that when the data aligns, it can be a reliable indicator.

Market Sentiment and Potential Price Movement

Adding to the discussion, reports indicate that new wallets on Hyperliquid have opened large XRP long positions using 20x leverage, with some bets reaching millions of dollars. This activity has further fueled speculation about a potential price increase.

Dom suggests that XRP’s market structure currently favors an upward price movement. Less buying pressure would be needed to push the price higher than the selling pressure required to drive it down. Whether this plays out depends on broader market sentiment. For now, traders are monitoring both the Coinbase order book and XLM’s momentum for clues about XRP’s next move.

  • Mashinsky Seeks to Overturn Crypto Fraud Sentence

Mashinsky Seeks to Overturn Crypto Fraud Sentence

Alex Mashinsky, the founder and former CEO of the now-defunct crypto lending platform Celsius, is seeking to overturn his 12-year prison sentence, according to a new motion filed in the District Court for the Southern District of New York.

    Grounds for Appeal

The motion, handwritten by Mashinsky, cites ineffective counsel and the “fruit of a poisonous tree” doctrine as grounds for vacating the sentence.

Mashinsky, who pleaded guilty to charges of commodities and securities fraud, included additional materials to support his claims, stating that his counsel’s ineffectiveness stemmed in part from “financial duress resulting in unavoidable and absolute conflict of interest with client.”

“The root of counsel’s deficiencies lay in the undisclosed financial distress of the firm Mukasey & Young LLP,” Mashinsky’s motion for habeas corpus relief states. “This distress created a conflict of interest that permeated every strategic decision made by counsel since the outset of the petitioner’s representation.”

    Alleged Conflict of Interest

This conflict of interest arose from the firm’s engagement with FTX founder and former CEO Sam Bankman-Fried, also known as SBF. Mashinsky claims this created an “unwaivable conflict since it was market manipulation of the CEL token and StETH by SBF” that harmed Celsius. Celsius subsequently paused withdrawals, leaving customers unable to access billions of dollars in deposits.

Shortly after halting withdrawals, Celsius was forced to file for bankruptcy in an attempt to stabilize its business. A year later, Mashinsky was arrested and charged by the SEC, CFTC, and FTC. Some charges alleged he defrauded customers of $42 million.

He later pleaded guilty, reportedly stating in court, “I know what I did was wrong, and I want to try to do whatever I can to make it right.”

Despite some creditors seeking harsher penalties, Mashinsky was sentenced to 12 years in prison. He is now seeking to have that sentence vacated.

    Recent Settlement

Last month, Mashinsky was formally banned from the cryptocurrency industry as part of a $10 million settlement with the FTC. The regulator initially secured a $4.7 billion judgment against him, though the majority of the judgment has been suspended, requiring only the $10 million payment.

  • Crypto Stocks Rise After CFTC Action

Crypto Stocks Rise After CFTC Action

Robinhood (HOOD) and Coinbase (COIN) closed the final trading session of the week in positive territory, with Robinhood’s stock leading the gains following regulatory developments that could broaden the U.S. market for crypto derivatives. Robinhood shares surged approximately 11% on the day, closing around $94 per share, the highest level since February. Coinbase (COIN) also saw significant gains, rising nearly 7% to finish the session near $189. This price point falls within the stock’s consolidation range of roughly $160 to $215, a band it has traded within since late March.

CFTC Fuels Rally for HOOD and COIN

The rally for both companies was largely attributed to actions taken by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). On Friday, the agency announced it would permit U.S. firms to offer perpetual futures trading, potentially spurring new product launches and increased trading activity within the United States. In addition to this policy shift, the CFTC issued a no-action letter to Coinbase. This letter allows Coinbase’s U.S. customers to access the options and perpetuals the company already provides.

The impact of the regulatory moves extended beyond Coinbase. Other U.S.-based firms, including trading platform Gemini and Robinhood, which already offers the product in Europe, have indicated they are exploring perpetuals.

Mizuho analyst Dan Dolev characterized the opportunity as a “massive market opportunity,” adding that Coinbase and other firms could capture a share of trading activity currently concentrated in offshore venues.

    Robinhood Price Targets Increase

Mizuho also raised its price target for Robinhood from $110 to $115. Separately, Citizens reiterated its “market outperform” rating and maintained a $155 price target.

Contributing to the positive sentiment was Robinhood’s plan to allow users to connect artificial intelligence (AI) agents to their accounts for trading and credit card purchases.

Robinhood also announced that customers will soon be able to instruct AI agents to trade equities in a separate account, with user-defined limits. Support for options, event contracts, futures, and other products is expected to be added later.

  • Solana Holds Key Support Amid Breakout Hopes

Solana Holds Key Support Amid Breakout Hopes

Solana Nears Critical Juncture as Price Defends Key Support

Solana is approaching a crucial moment as its price struggles to maintain a multi-year support zone near $79. Following months of consolidation and repeated failed breakouts, growing signs of accumulation are fueling speculation that SOL may be poised for its next significant upward move.

$79 Support Emerges as the Most Critical Level

Strategist Scient identifies two critical price levels that define Solana’s macro landscape: the 2024 low at $79 and the impulsive high at $210. The $210 level is particularly significant, representing the peak of the 2021 altseason. Since then, the market has attempted to reclaim this threshold three times, each attempt resulting in rejection.

These failed breakouts reveal a challenging multi-year structure. The second rejection, originating from the 2024 lows, initiated a year-long consolidation phase that culminated in a third failed attempt in September 2025. Following this final setback, selling pressure intensified, leading to a swift retracement to the 2024 low, where accumulation has been ongoing.

SOL’s price action exhibits clear signs of accumulation near these historical lows, setting the stage for a potential breakout attempt. Scient notes the irony in the current setup: if SOL successfully establishes a bottom at the $80 level, it would mirror the historical support Ethereum found during its previous bear market cycle.

The $79–$80 zone serves as the line in the sand for Solana’s structural integrity. As long as the price maintains this support, the bullish setup remains intact. However, a breach below this level could trigger a significant drawdown toward the mid-$20s. With the price currently trading above this vital support, the setup allows investors to cautiously position their bets within this critical consolidation range.

Solana Breaks Out of Macro Downtrend

Complementing the weekly outlook, Scient’s secondary analysis of the daily chart highlights a pivotal shift in Solana’s macro structure. The asset has decisively broken out of its long-standing macro downtrend, effectively flipping the trend to the upside. This marks a second bullish retest of this broken trendline, yielding a clean bounce that serves as textbook confirmation for technical traders.

This bullish momentum is further validated by the volume profile, with a significant portion of the volume from previous highs having been absorbed, and current market activity showing a concentration at these levels.

From current levels, there is little resistance leading up to the $120 mark, creating a clear path for the price. This lack of overhead supply suggests the market is positioned to move swiftly through this vacuum with minimal selling pressure. When these daily developments are synthesized with the broader weekly context, the resulting setup becomes increasingly compelling.

  • Crypto VC Funding Halves After Q4 2025 Peak: Galaxy

Crypto VC Funding Halves After Q4 2025 Peak: Galaxy

    Crypto Venture Capital Activity Slows

Crypto venture capital investment cooled in the first quarter of 2026, following a robust fourth quarter in 2025, according to a new report from Galaxy Digital.

Venture firms deployed approximately $4 billion across 355 crypto and blockchain-focused deals during the quarter. This represents a 50% decrease in capital invested quarter-over-quarter and a 16% drop in the number of deals.

Despite the slowdown, activity remained above many of the quarterly levels observed during the 2023-2024 market downturn. Galaxy Research attributed the decline primarily to the absence of the very large, later-stage financings seen in Q4 2025, while smaller seed and early-stage rounds continued at a relatively steady pace.

If annualized, the Q1 pace would equate to roughly $16 billion invested in 2026, below 2025’s nearly $20 billion total but still stronger than much of the preceding two years. The historical relationship between Bitcoin prices and crypto venture investing has weakened compared to earlier cycles in 2017 and 2021. While Bitcoin reached new highs in late 2025, venture activity remained uneven. Both Bitcoin prices and venture funding declined in Q1 2026, although the drop in invested capital was more pronounced than the decline in deal activity.

    Funding Trends and Sector Performance

Later-stage startups accounted for the majority of funding during the quarter, capturing roughly 57% of all invested capital, while earlier-stage companies received the remaining 43%. However, early-stage activity remained significant by deal count, even as the share of pre-seed deals declined to 19% and later-stage transactions rose to one-quarter of completed deals.

Galaxy noted that this trend indicates the growing maturity of the crypto industry and the increasing presence of larger, revenue-generating companies.

Meanwhile, median crypto deal sizes also reached new all-time highs, exceeding $4.5 million in Q1 2026, even as valuations slightly retreated from the record levels reached in Q4 2025.

The Trading/Exchange/Investing/Lending category attracted the most venture funding by a wide margin, raising approximately $2.6 billion, or nearly three-fifths of all capital invested during the quarter. This category also led in deal count with 74 transactions.

Wallet startups ranked second in capital raised, with roughly $270 million. Galaxy also found that startups founded in 2018 received the largest amount of capital in Q1, at $1.3 billion, while younger startups founded in 2024 and 2025 dominated overall deal count.

    Geographic and Fundraising Insights

Geographically, the United States continued to dominate crypto venture activity, accounting for over 70% of all invested capital and 43.5% of total deals completed during the quarter. Bahrain and Singapore followed the US in capital share, while the United Kingdom ranked second by deal count.

On the fundraising side, investors allocated nearly $1.1 billion to eight new crypto-focused venture funds, the fewest new funds launched in a quarter since Q3 2020.

Galaxy stated that fundraising conditions remain challenging due to macroeconomic pressures, lingering effects from the 2022-2023 crypto market turmoil, growing institutional interest in artificial intelligence, and competition from spot crypto ETFs and digital asset treasury companies for investor capital.

  • XRP Could Surge to $80 if Ripple’s Fed Account is Approved, AI Predicts.

XRP Could Surge to $80 if Ripple’s Fed Account is Approved, AI Predicts.

Ripple’s Potential Fed Account Approval Could Boost XRP

Ripple’s potential approval to hold a Federal Reserve (Fed) master account could trigger a significant upward movement for XRP, according to market analyst Sam Daodu. Daodu’s recent report indicates that artificial intelligence (AI) models generally agree that XRP could experience a price increase if Ripple gains access to the Fed’s settlement infrastructure.

A key factor driving this optimism is that direct access to the Fed would allow Ripple to settle transactions directly, bypassing the banks that currently act as intermediaries.

Daodu suggests that this process may already be underway. He cited Kraken’s March 2026 acquisition of a master account through the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City as evidence that the approval pathway is no longer purely theoretical.

    XRP Price Forecasts

Daodu shared model-driven forecasts for XRP, comparing various AI systems and their approaches to assessing catalysts and risks.

According to Daodu, ChatGPT anticipates a measured recovery under base conditions, projecting XRP to trade between $2.50 and $3.00 by August 2026. The model also identifies $1.50 as a critical support level for the prediction to remain valid. Currently, the altcoin is trading below that level, having retraced to $1.32 per token. Daodu attributes this forecast to potential exchange-traded fund (ETF) inflows and growth in Ripple’s payment corridor. In a more bullish scenario, assuming accelerated ETF inflows and corridor growth, ChatGPT sees potential for XRP to reach $5.

Grok’s projections are more aggressive, with a base forecast between $2.50 and $2.80, but an upper target of $10 under favorable conditions. Daodu reported that Grok links the $10 level to a scenario where Bitcoin surpasses $100,000.

Claude’s outlook is more cautious, though still optimistic. The model’s base projection suggests XRP will remain in the $1.35 to $1.65 range for the remainder of 2026, with a 50% probability assigned to that outcome. Claude’s reasoning highlights that short-term rallies may fade without new catalysts. However, Claude’s long-term view is more constructive, with the potential for XRP to reach between $8 and $14 if ETF inflows exceed $10 billion and banking adoption accelerates. Claude emphasizes that sustained demand drivers are necessary to support such a price movement.

Vincent Van Code’s AI forecast is the most ambitious among the models reviewed by Daodu. Instead of focusing on a single near-term target, Vincent Van Code projects a year-by-year trajectory, reaching $80 by 2032. This forecast is based on Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse’s projection that 30% of Ripple Treasury’s $13 trillion annual payment flow could move on-chain within five years. For 2026, the AI model targets price targets ranging from $6 to $10.
