Italian Bank Slashes Bitcoin Holdings, Boosts Staked Ether

Italy’s Largest Bank Slashes Bitcoin Trust Holdings, Boosts Ethereum

Italy’s largest banking group, Intesa Sanpaolo, significantly reduced its reported exposure to BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) in the second quarter. Concurrently, the bank more than tripled its holdings in staked Ether (ETH).

According to its latest Form 13F filing, Intesa Sanpaolo held 40,723 IBIT shares as of June 30, a substantial decrease of 93.7% from the 646,809 shares reported on March 31. The filing also revealed a dramatic shift in its reported call position in the fund. The underlying share amount linked to its held-call row plummeted from 2,496,500 shares to 18,000, representing a decline of over 99%.

In parallel, a new put position equivalent to 500,000 IBIT shares emerged in the June 30 disclosure. However, the reported figures do not indicate that the bank has adopted a net bearish strategy on Bitcoin.

Meanwhile, Intesa Sanpaolo’s holdings in the iShares Staked Ethereum Trust ETF increased from 116,200 shares to 349,600. Conversely, its position in the Bitwise Solana Staking ETF saw a sharp drop, falling from 2,817 shares to just seven.

This latest filing follows Intesa Sanpaolo’s initial direct Bitcoin purchase in January 2025, when it acquired 11 BTC for approximately $1.03 million. In July 2024, the bank also utilized the Polygon network to underwrite Italy’s first on-chain digital bond, valued at $25.6 million. Later that year, it established a dedicated desk to offer options, futures, and spot ETFs linked to digital assets.

The bank’s strategic adjustment is noteworthy, as some BlackRock clients have recently mirrored this trend. For instance, reports indicate that customers of the asset management giant sold approximately $60 million worth of IBIT last week, while simultaneously purchasing over $20 million worth of BlackRock’s ETHA spot Ethereum ETF.

While Intesa Sanpaolo scaled back its IBIT position, the broader U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF market has experienced a different trajectory. These funds recorded a record monthly net outflow of about $4.5 billion in June. This trend reversed in July, with the funds attracting $172.4 million, marking a turnaround after two consecutive months of significant withdrawals. This influx contributed to Bitcoin’s price recovery towards $64,000 mid-month.

This positive sentiment appears to have persisted into August, as the ETFs have attracted an additional $170 million so far. BlackRock’s IBIT continues to lead the market, having garnered nearly $61 billion in total inflows since its inception.

  • XRP Navigates Critical $1.06 Level Amid Divergent Analyst Views

XRP Navigates Critical $1.06 Level Amid Divergent Analyst Views

XRP’s price is currently trading near the $1.06 level, a zone of significant attention for market analysts who hold differing views on its potential impact on future price movements. Over the past month, XRP has experienced a 5% decline, settling at approximately $1.07, just above this crucial area.

Analysts are closely monitoring the $1.06 level, with some suggesting it could influence the next significant price action. According to Ali Martinez, holding this level could potentially lead to a rally towards $1.35 and possibly $1.64. Conversely, Martinez suggests that a failure to maintain support at $1.06 might result in a slump, with a potential target as low as $0.62.

Further technical analysis from ChartNerd indicates that while XRP has found support at $1.06, substantial resistance remains in the $1.08-$1.23 range. ChartNerd also noted the loss of prior ascending support, identifying $1.16 as a key obstacle ahead of the moving averages (EMAs). This analyst suggests that downward pressure may persist, and XRP could potentially move below $1 in the near future, a scenario they described as a potential buying opportunity.

EGRAG CRYPTO offers a perspective that XRP has lost the 50-day moving average (MA) and is approaching the 100-day exponential moving average (EMA), a zone historically recognized for providing strong long-term support. EGRAG CRYPTO suggests a potential retest of the $1-$0.95 range as a healthy correction while holding the 100 EMA. The downside target is placed at $0.80 as maximum downside if XRP falls to the lower boundary of a long-term channel.

Despite these short-term considerations, EGRAG CRYPTO maintains that long-term price targets of $15, $27, and $50+ remain viable. However, reaching a $15 price point would necessitate XRP’s market capitalization to skyrocket to nearly $1 trillion, a scenario that remains highly speculative.

In contrast, JAVON MARKS presents a more immediate bullish outlook, claiming that XRP has demonstrated a clear notable move of a key resistance trend. Marks suggests that this notable move could lead to the price moving beyond $3.50.

The current market structure and the varying interpretations highlight the uncertainty surrounding XRP’s immediate trajectory. While some analysts focus on the immediate support and resistance levels around $1.06, others maintain optimistic long-term price expectations. The coming months are anticipated by some to set the stage for significant market repricing, though the direction and magnitude remain subjects of ongoing analysis and speculation.

  • Apple’s AI Report Cap: A Double-Edged Sword in Cybersecurity

Apple’s AI Report Cap: A Double-Edged Sword in Cybersecurity

Apple’s recent implementation of a cap on vulnerability reports, a measure designed to combat a surge in AI-generated submissions, has inadvertently coincided with a significant macOS exploit potentially being missed. The tech giant’s security team, reportedly overwhelmed by a volume of AI-generated reports, many of which were fabricated, introduced the cap in June. This change also includes a 30-day cool-off period and requires researchers to apply for higher submission quotas.

This new system inadvertently prevented the cybersecurity startup Bynario from reporting a critical privilege escalation exploit chain for macOS. Bynario, which utilized OpenAI’s ChatGPT to identify over 50 bugs in macOS within three weeks, found their submissions refused due to the newly imposed limits. Alfredo Pesoli, Bynario’s chief executive, estimated the exploit’s value on the criminal market to be between $100,000 and $200,000. Apple has since stated it is in contact with Bynario and is reviewing their findings.

The challenge of managing AI-driven vulnerability reports is not unique to Apple. In March, security firm Bugcrowd observed a quadrupling of submissions over three weeks, with most proving to be fake. This trend prompted platforms like HackerOne and Nextcloud to suspend their paid programs in April, seeking methods to filter out low-effort, AI-generated content.

The increasing volume of reports is partly fueled by substantial rewards. In 2025, major companies like Meta, Microsoft, Apple, and Crypto.com collectively paid out at least $58 million for vulnerability findings, with Apple offering up to $5 million for a single discovery. Simultaneously, large language models (LLMs) are demonstrating enhanced capabilities in bug detection. Anthropic’s cyber-focused LLM, Mythos, introduced in March, helped Mozilla identify 271 vulnerabilities in Firefox during internal testing.

AI’s influence extends to exploit engineering as well. In May, security startup Calif developed a macOS kernel memory corruption exploit using an LLM preview, capable of bypassing Apple’s Memory Integrity Enforcement. Calif opted to deliver the exploit in person to Apple’s headquarters to bypass the “submission flood.”

Similar AI-driven discoveries are impacting the cryptocurrency sector. Coinkite indicated AI likely uncovered a five-year-old firmware bug that could have coincided with over $100 million in losses from its hardware wallets. Additionally, Zcash disclosed a vulnerability, found with Claude Opus 4.8, that allowed undetectable counterfeiting of ZEC for four years, now addressed by the Ironwood upgrade.

Apple’s experience highlights a critical challenge in cybersecurity: balancing the benefits of AI for threat discovery with the need to manage the overwhelming noise from AI-generated submissions. While Apple’s recent security updates credit AI software for surfacing flaws, the Bynario incident underscores the potential for security measures against AI-generated content to inadvertently impede the reporting of genuine threats. The industry faces an ongoing challenge to adapt its systems to effectively discern real vulnerabilities from AI-generated fabrications.

    Why This Matters

This situation underscores the evolving landscape of cybersecurity, where the rapid advancement of AI presents both opportunities for discovery and significant challenges in managing vulnerability reports. Apple’s experience, where measures to combat AI-generated noise coincided with a real exploit potentially being missed, highlights a critical inflection point in how security vulnerabilities are discovered, reported, and managed. The core problem is distinguishing AI-generated noise from genuine security threats, a challenge that impacts the effectiveness of cybersecurity systems.

    Broader Context

Apple’s decision to cap vulnerability reports follows a broader trend of security teams being swamped by AI-generated submissions. This influx, which includes fabricated flaws, has prompted companies to re-evaluate their disclosure processes. The market context involves substantial financial incentives for vulnerability findings, driving both legitimate research and the proliferation of AI-assisted or generated reports. The effectiveness of AI in both discovering and engineering exploits is a key factor shaping this evolving cybersecurity dynamic.

  • Ripple Bolsters Institutional Infrastructure with ZILO, Licuido Investments; FXRP Gains Collateral Status

Ripple Bolsters Institutional Infrastructure with ZILO, Licuido Investments; FXRP Gains Collateral Status

Ripple has announced strategic investments in ZILO and Licuido, two companies focused on building infrastructure for digital investment funds and the trading of institutional assets. These investments are part of Ripple’s broader strategy to enhance its institutional digital asset services.

ZILO offers technology for transfer agency and fund administration for tokenized share classes, while Licuido operates a regulated platform in the United Kingdom for issuing, distributing, trading, and utilizing traditional assets as digital collateral. Ripple intends to connect these services with its existing XRP Ledger infrastructure, aiming to empower institutions in issuing, transferring, custody, and using tokenized assets as collateral. The integration could potentially leverage RLUSD for settlement, enabling simultaneous settlement of assets and payments.

In a related development, Flare’s wrapped XRP (FXRP) has been approved for use as collateral within an RLUSD lending pool managed by Sentora. This collateral vault, operating on Morpho Blue, is valued at $280 million, with approximately 155 million FXRP minted by the announcement date. This mechanism allows users to deposit FXRP and borrow RLUSD, thereby maintaining their exposure to XRP.

Additionally, Mastercard has completed its acquisition of BVNK, a stablecoin infrastructure company that supports XRP deposits and outgoing payments, a move expected to further bridge traditional and digital finance.

Meanwhile, XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs) experienced a significant slowdown in net inflows during July, recording approximately $27 million. This marks a decrease from the $60 million in June and $132 million in May. While these declining inflows might indicate a cooling of institutional momentum, the continued positive net inflows suggest ongoing investor interest in XRP.

As of August 4th, XRP was trading around $1.07, remaining below its 20-day exponential moving average of approximately $1.08 and its 50-day average around $1.12. Analyst ChartNerd has characterized the current price structure as a falling wedge near a six-year support area. According to ChartNerd, the upcoming months could position XRP for a broader repricing, although a temporary dip below $1 remains a possibility. A sustained move above $1.08 and $1.12 would be necessary to improve the short-term outlook and support a more reliable rally.

The specific amounts of Ripple’s investments in ZILO and Licuido were not disclosed. Furthermore, the exact timeline for integrating these new services with the XRP Ledger infrastructure remains unspecified. While analyst commentary points to potential future price appreciation, the possibility of a temporary break below $1 for XRP exists, and the extent of any potential repricing is uncertain.

  • Korean Buyers Outpace Sellers 2-to-1: XRP Price Poised to Break 80-Day Downtrend

Korean Buyers Outpace Sellers 2-to-1: XRP Price Poised to Break 80-Day Downtrend

XRP Price Prediction: South Korean Demand Fuels Potential Breakout Amidst Broader Market Uncertainty

XRP is currently trading at $1.0732, a slight dip of 0.99% over the last 24 hours. However, a more compelling narrative is unfolding beneath the surface. A 4% rebound from August lows is challenging an 80-day descending channel, with a key technical level poised to determine whether this upward momentum has staying power or will falter, as has been the case with every prior rally since May. South Korea is making its stance clear, while the broader market remains undecided.

The XRP market capitalization stands at approximately $68.27 billion, with a circulating supply of 62 billion tokens and a 24-hour trading volume of around $877 million. This volume is stable, not exhibiting explosive growth.

On Upbit, South Korea’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, XRP ranks third among 275 Korean won-denominated markets by 24-hour volume, trailing only Tether and Bitcoin. More significantly, combined bids on Upbit and Bithumb within 1% of the spot price outweigh asks by a ratio of roughly two to one, indicating a 34% gap in favor of buyers. This is not mere market noise; it represents a deliberate accumulation posture from South Korean retail investors.

Technical Outlook: Testing the Descending Channel

The current bounce is tangible. Whether it successfully breaks the descending channel remains a separate question, with the answer holding direct implications for capital rotation within the market.

XRP’s 24-hour trading range has been narrow, fluctuating between $1.0701 and $1.0841, with the price currently sitting at $1.0732. The 7-day range, however, paints a broader picture, spanning roughly $1.07 to $1.18, aligning neatly with two key zones that traders are closely monitoring.

Support at the $1.07-$1.08 level has absorbed selling pressure across multiple trading sessions. Conversely, resistance at $1.15 to $1.18 marks the point where every recent rally attempt has stalled.

The defining technical factor at present is the descending channel that has capped XRP’s price action since May 14. Day-to-day price fluctuations within this structure are largely considered noise.

A daily close above the upper boundary of the channel, estimated to be in the $1.15 to $1.18 zone depending on the channel’s trajectory, would serve as the initial confirmation of a genuine trend shift. Until then, each bounce should be viewed as a probe rather than a definitive reversal.

A confirmed daily close above $1.18 would signify a breakout of the channel, reopening the path toward $1.30 and beyond. The depth of Korean bid orders suggests that buyers are positioned precisely for such a scenario.

The more probable near-term trajectory involves XRP oscillating within the $1.07 to $1.15 band, while broader macroeconomic data continues to suppress institutional risk appetite. A daily close below $1.07 would breach the local floor, expose the $0.98 to $1.00 zone, and entirely invalidate the current accumulation thesis.

Trading volume at current levels does not signal strong conviction in either direction. Any breakout lacking a volume expansion of at least 40% to 50% above the 7-day average should be approached with skepticism. The channel break itself is the signal; confirmation is paramount.

    Market Dynamics and Emerging Opportunities

While XRP is holding support and demonstrating demand-side strength in South Korea, its substantial $68 billion market capitalization means the asymmetric upside that early crypto investors sought is no longer as readily available.

For traders observing this rally and seeking opportunities with greater asymmetry, the infrastructure presale space warrants closer examination.

LiquidChain ($LIQUID) is a Layer 3 infrastructure project positioning itself as a cross-chain liquidity layer, designed to aggregate liquidity from Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana into a unified execution environment. Its architecture features a Unified Liquidity Layer, Single-Step Execution, Verifiable Settlement, and a Deploy-Once model, enabling developers to access all three ecosystems without the overhead of redeployment.

The presale is currently priced at $0.01486 per $LIQUID, with over $929,000 raised to date. The project’s fundraising momentum is already attracting attention as it approaches the $1 million milestone. As with any early-stage presale, potential investors should be aware of smart contract risks and execution uncertainties, underscoring the importance of thorough due diligence.

  • XRP Faces Price Uncertainty Amid Analyst Repricing Speculation

XRP Faces Price Uncertainty Amid Analyst Repricing Speculation

XRP is currently trading around $1.07, experiencing a period of price weakness that has led some analysts to suggest a significant repricing could occur in the coming months. However, the market outlook remains uncertain, with conflicting signals and inherent limitations in predicting future price movements.

    Analyst Perspectives on XRP’s Trajectory

Crypto analyst ChartNerd believes XRP’s current testing of support near $1.06 is part of a broader crypto correction. He views this period as a normal correction within a larger trend, suggesting that a potential drop below $1 could present a long-term buying opportunity. Analyst EGRAG CRYPTO has identified $1.05 as a key support level, referring to it as a “battlefield” for the asset.

    Current Market Performance and Technicals

At the time of writing on August 3, XRP was trading at approximately $1.07. The cryptocurrency has seen a 1% decrease in the last 24 hours and a nearly 3% drop over the past seven days. Over the last three months, XRP has lost about 24% of its value and remains more than 70% below its all-time high of near $3.65, which was reached in July 2025.

Technically, XRP is observed to be within a falling wedge pattern, approaching a six-year support zone. Analysts note that the token is testing the $1.06 support area after failing to break above its daily 20 Exponential Moving Average (EMA) near $1.08. Further resistance levels are identified at the 50 EMA around $1.12 and a price point of $1.16. A successful defense of the $1.05 area could potentially push XRP back toward $1.10, while a notable move below this zone could expose it to the $1 support level.

    Conflicting Market Signals

Despite the price action, Ripple has announced investments in Zilo and Licuido, companies focused on tokenized funds and institutional asset infrastructure. However, institutional interest, as indicated by spot XRP Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs), has shown a declining trend in net inflows. These ETFs recorded $27 million in net inflows in July, a significant decrease from $60 million in June and $132 million in May. This trend suggests XRP is struggling to maintain higher price levels following its mid-July rally.

    Interpreting the Uncertainty

The interpretation of these market signals varies. While some analysts see the current weakness as a potential precursor to a major repricing, others highlight the declining ETF inflows as a sign of waning institutional interest or difficulty in sustaining recent price movement. The possibility of XRP dropping below $1 is framed by some as a “golden ticket” entry point for long-term investors, emphasizing that the lower the price goes, the better the long-term opportunity becomes, depending on perspective.

Key uncertainties remain regarding the exact timing and magnitude of any potential repricing, as well as whether XRP will indeed break below the $1 support level. The performance of altcoins relative to Bitcoin also adds another layer of complexity to the market outlook. Therefore, while analyst commentary points to potential future price movements, the current market conditions present a landscape of considerable uncertainty.

    Why This Matters

The materials describe a narrow update: Crypto analyst ChartNerd believes XRP’s current price weakness, testing support near $1. The exact timing and magnitude of the potential XRP repricing.

  • Marmot Researchers Seek OnlyFans Funding Amidst Meme Coin Surge

Marmot Researchers Seek OnlyFans Funding Amidst Meme Coin Surge

Scientists Turn to OnlyFans and Crypto for Funding Amidst Declining Research Grants

Researchers at UCLA, grappling with dwindling traditional funding for a decades-long wildlife study, have found an unexpected lifeline in the unconventional corners of internet culture. The project, which has meticulously tracked yellow-bellied marmots in Colorado since 1962, has launched an OnlyFans account and inadvertently inspired a cryptocurrency trend.

“OnlyMarms” Account Offers “Uncensored” Wildlife Content

The initiative, dubbed “OnlyMarms,” was conceived by Professor Daniel Blumstein as securing research grants became increasingly challenging. A graduate student coined the account’s name, and the team embraced the playful premise, promising subscribers “uncensored marmot content.” Blumstein noted that the platform has also served as a novel avenue for reaching new audiences.

“Maybe this is a different audience than, you know, most of our science communication reaches,” Blumstein told NPR in an interview. “That’s great. Turns out, it’s even bigger than this.”

The OnlyFans account has so far generated approximately $4,000. However, Blumstein emphasized that the marmot project requires an annual budget of $75,000 to $100,000 to support graduate students and fieldwork, a level of funding once consistently provided by federal grants.

Meme Coins Emerge Inspired by Marmot Research

The UCLA marmot project has also captured the attention of the cryptocurrency community. Several meme coins inspired by “OnlyMarms” have surfaced on the platform Pump.fun. While the creators of these tokens remain unidentified and their direct connection to the UCLA research team is unconfirmed, Blumstein stated that the researchers themselves did not initiate their creation.

“People have independently created a meme coin and told us to grab the transaction—to register it, and then we get the transaction fees. And that is blowing up,” he explained. “Apparently, this is a meme coin for good that people like.”

This phenomenon is not unprecedented, as internet-famous animals have previously inspired cryptocurrencies. In 2024, the Solana token Moo Deng, based on a viral pygmy hippo, launched on Pump.fun and briefly achieved a market capitalization of around $680 million before being listed on major exchanges, including Coinbase.

    Broader Efforts to Secure Funding

Beyond online ventures, the researchers have also engaged in other fundraising efforts. They have partnered with a Colorado brewery to create a “Marmot Tears” IPA and organized a public “Fat Marmot Week” competition.

Blumstein views these unconventional funding strategies as a stark reflection of the current state of scientific funding in the United States. He expressed dismay at the necessity of such measures, contrasting it with the research funding landscape during his graduate school years.

“No. It’s appalling,” he stated. “What we’re doing is destroying the scientific structure and the university-federal partnerships that made us great, made us rich, made us the scientific leaders of the world. It’s being taken apart, and that’s really sad.”

Ex-FBI Agent Accused of $1M Crypto Theft, ChatGPT Investment Advice

Former FBI Agent Charged with Stealing $1 Million in Cryptocurrency

A former FBI supervisory special agent has been charged with stealing nearly $1 million in cryptocurrency from wallets linked to FBI counterintelligence investigations. Court documents also reveal he later sought advice from ChatGPT on how to invest the stolen funds and relocate overseas.

Patrick Steven Yaroch was charged on Friday with interstate transportation of stolen goods and receipt of stolen goods. Prosecutors allege the thefts occurred between early 2025 and July 2026, during which time Yaroch worked in the FBI’s Counterintelligence and Espionage Division and held a Top Secret security clearance.

“During the afternoon of July 28, 2026, Yaroch contacted DOJ Employee 1 via Signal and requested to meet to discuss personal matters,” prosecutors stated in the complaint. “Upon meeting DOJ Employee 1 at FBI headquarters, Yaroch immediately started to break down as he told his story.”

According to investigators, Yaroch admitted to accessing FBI systems to obtain cryptocurrency wallet seed phrases connected to investigations involving an unnamed foreign adversary. He allegedly memorized these recovery phrases, created his own cryptocurrency wallet, and transferred funds into accounts under his control approximately 10 times. He told investigators the holdings eventually grew to about $1 million.

During searches of his home and devices, investigators recovered a Trezor hardware wallet and handwritten cryptocurrency seed phrases. According to the affidavit, agents found a Kraken account with a balance of approximately $188,570, including roughly $166,000 in U.S. dollars and nearly $18,000 in USDC, along with small amounts of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

Investigators also recovered several ChatGPT conversations from Yaroch’s phone. According to the affidavit, on May 28, he asked how he should invest or spend $1 million “to maximize profit and return.” Less than a week later, he inquired about what someone with about $1 million should do to leave the U.S. and become a resident or citizen of a European Union country. Later searches included queries about whether Americans need a visa when connecting through Turkey and assistance in drafting a follow-up email regarding a job opportunity and life in Greece.

Investigators also found evidence of a planned family trip to Portugal, power-of-attorney documents related to Portugal, and what prosecutors described as previously unreported foreign travel. Prosecutors argue that this evidence, along with Yaroch’s admissions and the recovered cryptocurrency, established probable cause for his arrest on July 31.

“FBI WF Agents mentioned to Yaroch that they located the power of attorney forms for Portugal,” the complaint stated. “Yaroch stated he was not planning to funnel money into Portugal. Yaroch told FBI WF Agents that his family had a trip planned to Portugal in September 2026 to meet friends. Yaroch realized he might not be able to attend the trip but stated he hoped his wife and child would still go on the trip.”

  • Shiba Inu Token Burns Increase Significantly in July, Limited Impact on Supply Noted

Shiba Inu Token Burns Increase Significantly in July, Limited Impact on Supply Noted

In July, the Shiba Inu (SHIB) token burn rate saw a substantial increase, with over 3.2 billion SHIB tokens transferred to a null address. This represents a 1,395% surge compared to the burn rate observed in June. Despite the significant volume of tokens removed from circulation, the U.S. dollar equivalent of these July burns was less than $17,000. This highlights a persistent challenge for the Shiba Inu ecosystem: the sheer scale of its circulating supply, which currently stands at over 585 trillion coins.

On July 27 alone, nearly 1.3 billion SHIB tokens were burned, accounting for a substantial portion of the month’s total burn activity. While the core purpose of the token burning mechanism is to reduce supply and potentially increase value through scarcity, the effectiveness of these burns in making a tangible impact on SHIB’s overall supply remains a subject of discussion. With such a vast number of tokens in circulation, the current burn rates may have a limited effect on driving significant price appreciation.

This surge in token burns has coincided with a modest price increase for Shiba Inu, which has seen its value jump by 10% within the last 30 days. However, analysts caution against drawing direct causal links, emphasizing that market performance is influenced by numerous factors.

August 1 marked the sixth anniversary of the Shiba Inu project. While many in the community offered congratulations, a notable segment expressed disappointment. These users had anticipated significant ecosystem updates or major announcements to coincide with the anniversary. Instead, the project team reflected on its journey from “zero to a global movement,” stating that “the experiment continues.” This sentiment underscores a broader concern within parts of the community regarding the pace of development and the long-term value proposition of the SHIB token, especially in light of its historical price performance.

Uncertainty remains regarding the long-term impact of the burning mechanism on SHIB’s value, particularly given the enormous circulating supply. The effectiveness of future burn initiatives and the development of the Shiba Inu ecosystem will be key factors to watch. The mixed community sentiment, highlighted by reactions to the anniversary, suggests a desire for more concrete progress and tangible developments beyond token burn metrics.
