Binance Adjusts Funding Intervals for TradFi Perpetual Contracts
Binance, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, announced it will adjust the funding interval for several USDⓈ-Margined TradFi Perpetual Contracts. Effective September 10, 2026, at 08:15 UTC, the funding interval for these contracts will change from every eight hours to every four hours. Concurrently, the funding cap and floor for these contracts will be adjusted to ±1.00%.

Funding Rate Schedule
The funding rate schedule will be as follows:
- September 10, 2026, 08:00 UTC: Max Funding Rate +2.00% / -2.00%
- September 10, 2026, 12:00 UTC: Max Funding Rate +1.00% / -1.00%
- September 10, 2026, 16:00 UTC: Max Funding Rate +1.00% / -1.00%
- September 10, 2026, 20:00 UTC: Max Funding Rate +1.00% / -1.00%
Introduction to Binance Futures Funding Rates
This notice is issued under Binance Exchange Rule 17. The affected perpetual contracts are exempt from the standard 8.1 Adjustment of Funding Interval rules. Specifically, the funding interval will not be adjusted from every four hours to every one hour if the previous funding rate settlement for these contracts reaches the funding rate cap or floor. Binance will issue a separate announcement if any further adjustments to the funding interval are planned.
Binance reserves the right to modify the specifications of these Futures contracts, including but not limited to the funding fee, tick size, maximum leverage, initial margin, and maintenance margin requirements, based on prevailing market risk conditions.
