Hylo Secures $1M in Solana Ventures-Led Strategic Round

Hylo Secures $1 Million in Strategic Funding to Bolster Solana DeFi Infrastructure

Decentralized finance protocol Hylo, operating on the Solana blockchain, has successfully closed a $1 million strategic funding round. The investment was led by Solana Ventures, with participation from Colosseum. The funding, finalized on October 20, 2026, is designated for the expansion of Hylo’s leverage and yield-generating infrastructure within the Solana ecosystem.

This marks the second investment from Solana Ventures in Hylo, and the third from Colosseum, underscoring a growing confidence in the protocol. The new capital injection follows a $1.5 million seed round in August 2025, which also saw backing from both Solana Ventures and Colosseum. Collectively, these two funding rounds bring Hylo’s total disclosed funding to $2.5 million.

Hylo’s core offerings revolve around two key product lines: leverage products designed to be resistant to liquidation, and stablecoins that generate yield. The protocol offers leveraged tokens such as xSOL, xBTC, and xHYPE, with the xSOL token providing approximately 3x exposure to the SOL cryptocurrency.

The protocol emphasizes the liquidation-resistant nature of its leverage products. Additionally, Hylo has introduced hyUSD, a stablecoin, and its yield-bearing counterpart, eHYUSD.

The project gained early recognition by securing a top placement in the Solana Radar hackathon in November 2024. Colosseum, which is actively involved in running hackathons and supporting promising teams, has a close connection to this talent pipeline.

Hylo officially launched to the public in August 2025. In the period shortly after its debut, the protocol’s total value locked (TVL) surged to nearly $100 million. By October 2026, Hylo reported cumulative trading volume exceeding $700 million.

The development team behind Hylo is notably lean, consisting of three co-founders and one founding engineer. The continued investment from established ecosystem backers like Solana Ventures and Colosseum suggests a belief in Hylo’s potential as a foundational piece of infrastructure within the Solana ecosystem.

Hylo has not yet launched a native token associated with this funding round, and its long-term monetization strategy remains undisclosed.
