JP Morgan: Saylor’s Bitcoin Strategy Poses Risk

JPMorgan has identified a structural risk that many Bitcoin price prediction bulls may have overlooked: the very entity driving the most aggressive institutional accumulation on record could, under certain circumstances, be compelled to sell.

This potential tension has become a tangible market factor. Bitcoin is currently consolidating near a critical technical support level, while analysts are divided on whether Michael Saylor’s ambitious $150,000 year-end target or JPMorgan’s more conservative models better represent actual market dynamics. The answer to this debate holds significant implications for anyone holding Bitcoin into the latter half of the year.

    JPMorgan’s Warning on Strategy’s Financing

JPMorgan’s concern primarily stems from the financing structure employed by MicroStrategy, the company led by Michael Saylor. By utilizing a combination of convertible notes, preferred equity, and at-the-money offerings to fund its Bitcoin acquisitions, MicroStrategy has created a scenario where credit stress or pressure from equity dilution could force the company to shift from being a net buyer to a net seller of Bitcoin. Given MicroStrategy’s substantial holdings, this represents a non-trivial tail risk.

Saylor’s public stance remains resolute, with projections of $150,000 by year-end, $1 million within four to eight years, and $20 million over two decades. However, JPMorgan’s apprehension is not about Saylor’s conviction itself, but rather about the potential market implications if that conviction is tested by margin mechanics.

This divergence between the narrative of corporate accumulation and institutional risk modeling is precisely the kind of signal that often proves significant at market inflection points.

Bitcoin’s Next Move and Key Levels

Bitcoin’s next directional move may depend less on Saylor’s next purchase announcement and more on how the market absorbs this structural overhang. Broader macroeconomic liquidity conditions further complicate an already complex decision-making process for investors.

Analysts closely monitoring Bitcoin’s current consolidation phase are watching the $60,000 level as primary support. Holding this level would maintain the current recovery thesis, while a breach would undermine it.

The immediate zone for a potential reclaim sits between $62,000 and $64,000. A decisive move through this range would bring $65,000 back into play, followed by $70,000, a level that has acted as both resistance and a magnet in multiple recent trading cycles.

Confirmation through trading volume is crucial. Consolidation without an increase in volume is considered noise rather than a clear signal.

If Bitcoin holds $60,000 and reclaims $64,000 on increased volume, it would reassert the narrative of Saylor’s accumulation as the dominant market frame. In such a scenario, JPMorgan’s short-term target of $170,000 and its eventual gold-parity estimate of $266,000 would likely become the baseline for institutional positioning.

Should neither side gain decisive control, a sideways trading range between $60,000 and $65,000 could persist as the market digests JPMorgan’s risk assessment alongside continued MicroStrategy purchases.

    Potential Downside Scenarios

While the market is described as “choppy but not broken,” a confirmed close below $60,000 could trigger a slide towards $55,000. At this lower level, more bearish analyst models would begin to appear credible, and concerns about MicroStrategy’s balance sheet resilience would intensify.

The current market setup suggests cautious consolidation rather than a confirmed breakout. A disciplined approach right now would favor patience over strong conviction.

    Scaling Challenges and Infrastructure Plays

For spot Bitcoin holders observing JPMorgan’s risk warning, an uncomfortable reality emerges: the optimistic upside scenarios are predicated on Bitcoin’s infrastructure being capable of scaling to accommodate mass institutional and retail adoption. Currently, its throughput is insufficient for such widespread use.

This gap between Bitcoin’s store-of-value narrative and its transactional limitations is precisely where the next generation of infrastructure solutions is being developed, with many still trading at early-stage valuations.

Bitcoin Hyper ($HYPER) is positioning itself to address this specific gap. It aims to be the first Bitcoin Layer 2 solution to integrate the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM), promising sub-second finality and low-cost smart contract execution within the Bitcoin ecosystem without compromising Bitcoin’s core security model.

The architecture includes a Decentralized Canonical Bridge for native Bitcoin transfers and SVM-powered programmability, which the development team claims surpasses Solana’s own latency benchmarks. However, the critical question for serious infrastructure investors remains whether this performance can be sustained at scale.

The presale for Bitcoin Hyper has raised over $32.9 million, with the current price at $0.0136825. Staking is active for early participants. As with any early-stage infrastructure presale, execution risk is a significant factor, and timelines are often subject to change.

  • Altcoin Surges 80% Daily as Bitcoin Nears $63K

Altcoin Surges 80% Daily as Bitcoin Nears $63K

Bitcoin’s gradual price recovery, which commenced after a correction in early July, is continuing, with the cryptocurrency briefly surpassing $63,000 yesterday and currently trading around that level.

Altcoin Performance Varies Amidst Bitcoin’s Rise

Most larger-cap altcoins have shown limited movement on a daily basis. Notable exceptions include SOL, HYPE, and XLM, which have experienced declines of up to 4%, while ADA and BCH have posted significant gains.

    Bitcoin’s Mid-Year Rebound

June proved to be a challenging month for Bitcoin, with a price drop exceeding 20%. July began similarly, as the asset dipped below $58,000, marking a new multi-year low. However, buyers intervened at this juncture, preventing further declines.

Instead, Bitcoin began to regain ground, quickly reclaiming the $60,000 mark. Following a brief dip below this threshold, bulls reasserted control, driving the price to $62,000. This surge was partly attributed to easing net withdrawals from Bitcoin ETFs and renewed investor inflows on Thursday.

BTC maintained a stable position above $61,000 before experiencing another upward movement on Saturday and early this morning, reaching a multi-week peak of $63,400. Although it encountered resistance at that point, the cryptocurrency is now trading close to $63,000, reflecting a nearly 5% increase over the past week.

Bitcoin’s market capitalization has climbed to $1.260 trillion, according to CoinGecko. However, its dominance over altcoins remains below 57%.

    Ethereum and Other Major Altcoins

Ethereum faced resistance at $1,800 yesterday and is currently trading just above $1,760. BNB has been unable to reclaim the $580 level and is trading below it. XRP is priced under $1.15, while SOL is testing the $80 support level after a 2.4% daily decrease.

HYPE and XLM have seen steeper declines, with HYPE down 4% and XLM down 3.4%. In contrast, ADA continues its recovery, with another 9% surge pushing its price well over $0.19. BCH has gained approximately 6%, trading at $240.

    Top Performer and Market Cap

LAB has emerged as the top gainer of the day, skyrocketing by 80%. This asset, which has experienced considerable volatility recently, is now trading above $16.

The total cryptocurrency market capitalization has seen a slight increase from yesterday, currently standing at $2.230 trillion on CoinGecko.

XRP Dominates ETF Inflows Amidst Emerging Concerns

Ripple’s XRP ETFs Outshine Market Leaders, Maintain Strong Inflows

In a notable shift in investor behavior towards crypto-based exchange-traded funds, Ripple’s cross-border token, XRP, is emerging as a clear frontrunner, surpassing even the market’s dominant players, Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).

Financial vehicles tracking XRP’s performance have continued to defy broader market weakness, posting another week of positive returns. While HYPE ETFs also experienced a positive week, their inflows saw a significant decrease compared to the previous period.

Following a robust end to the prior business week, during which investors injected $15.63 million into spot XRP ETFs on Friday, anticipation for a strong start to the current week was high. Data from SoSoValue confirmed these expectations, with $15.34 million flowing into the ETFs on Monday.

However, the trend shifted on Tuesday and Wednesday, with net withdrawals dominating. Investors pulled $2.83 million and $1.86 million, respectively, on these days. This marked a rare dip into negative territory for the funds, which have largely avoided red days recently, a stark contrast to the general trend among other ETFs. The last instance of net outflows occurred on June 3.

Furthermore, the occurrence of two consecutive days of net withdrawals is uncommon, with the last such period happening nearly three months ago, in early March. In a reversal of fortunes, the funds rebounded, recording $6.55 million in net inflows on Thursday, the final trading day of the week due to the July 4 holiday.

Consequently, the week concluded with substantial net inflows of $17.19 million, extending a remarkable streak of positive weeks. The last time XRP ETFs experienced a net outflow for an entire week was in late April or early May.

This positive momentum in the ETF market appears to be influencing the underlying asset, with XRP’s price rising by over 8% in the past week, now trading near $0.15.

HYPE ETFs also saw significant activity during the last full business week of June, attracting a record-breaking net inflow of $111.36 million. Although the subsequent four-day business week also registered positive inflows, the amount was considerably more modest, totaling $4.32 million.

Despite a net outflow of $3.01 million on Tuesday, the cumulative total net inflows for HYPE ETFs remain at an all-time high, approaching $300 million.

Dogecoin Network Activity Surges, Signaling Potential Upswing

Meme Coin Momentum Wanes, But Dogecoin Shows Signs of Life

The fervor surrounding meme coins has significantly cooled from its recent peaks, with many projects proving to be short-lived. While a few continue to generate buzz, a common pattern has emerged: a concentration of ownership in a few wallets that subsequently offload their holdings onto unsuspecting investors.

The trajectory of the leading meme coin, Dogecoin, presents a particularly intriguing case. Despite maintaining a multi-billion dollar market capitalization and its status as a major cryptocurrency, investor interest appears to have waned, leading to a decline in its appeal. However, recent data suggests this narrative might be incomplete.

Popular crypto analyst Ali Martinez, referencing data from Glassnode, reported an almost 50,000 increase in active addresses on the Dogecoin network. A chart illustrating this trend shows a sharp rise in late June and early July, climbing from below 40,000 to the current figure.

Martinez suggested that “something is brewing” for DOGE, a day after noting that the TD Sequential metric had signaled a significant buy opportunity for the asset. While the original meme coin has seen a 3% gain over the past week, it has experienced an 11% decline in the last month, mirroring the broader cryptocurrency market. Nevertheless, the TD Sequential signal and the surge in network activity could indicate the start of a more sustained recovery.

    Analyst Perspectives on Dogecoin

Fellow analyst Daan Crypto Trades acknowledged the current lack of widespread interest in Dogecoin, stating that “no one really cares about this coin right now.” Despite this, he continues to monitor the asset closely, particularly its potential descent towards the long-term support level around $0.05.

He posited that while other cryptocurrencies might outperform in the current or upcoming market cycles, Dogecoin remains a “reliable” asset for a substantial rebound once a bear market bottom is established.

In contrast, analyst Celal Kucuker expressed a more optimistic outlook, describing Dogecoin’s chart as “one of the cleanest in crypto.” Kucuker predicted that the meme coin could surge to $1.00, surpassing its previous all-time high, a feat it failed to achieve during the 2021 hype cycle fueled by Elon Musk.

  • World Cup Sparks $5.6B Prediction Market Boom

World Cup Sparks $5.6B Prediction Market Boom

World Cup Fever Fuels $5.6 Billion Surge in Prediction Markets

The FIFA World Cup’s knockout stage is set to commence on July 4, and the global passion for football, or soccer as it’s known in the United States, has become the dominant force driving activity on prediction platforms. This surge in interest has significantly diverted attention from the political and macroeconomic markets these platforms were originally designed to serve.

This trend is highlighted by data from research firm CryptoRank, which indicates that the tournament has propelled prediction market volumes from a modest $65 million on June 1 to a monthly peak of $5.6 billion on June 22.

According to CryptoRank’s analysis, total trading volume across major prediction venues saw a rapid ascent throughout June. It climbed from the aforementioned $65 million on June 1 to $340 million by June 8, just days before the World Cup kicked off. A week later, on June 15, the volume had surged to $2.2 billion, with 15 matches played, including the United States’ notable 4-1 victory over Paraguay in Los Angeles.

By June 22, with 42 games completed, trading on these platforms reached even greater heights. CryptoRank reported a high of $5.6 billion in volume before a slight decrease was observed seven days later, with approximately $5.4 billion in trades recorded on June 29.

In a July 2 post on X, CryptoRank noted that Kalshi was responsible for a substantial portion of this June activity. At the time of writing, its dashboard indicated an open interest—the total value of active positions yet to be settled—standing at $1.84 billion. Of this total, roughly $1.45 billion was attributed to Kalshi, with Polymarket holding approximately $390 million.

During the preceding week, open interest remained relatively stable on Kalshi, hovering around $1 billion. On Polymarket, however, open interest peaked at $475 million on June 30, the same day Norway, Sweden, and the Netherlands were dramatically eliminated from the competition.

BitMart reported similar trends on its platform. With multiple research institutions projecting that total global trading volume on prediction markets could reach $10 billion, the crypto exchange stated that most of this traffic has so far been directed towards centralized platforms like itself. This is attributed to their lower barriers to entry compared to on-chain prediction products, which require private keys, gas fees, and multi-step contract approvals.

Consequently, BitMart reported that its monthly prediction market volumes experienced a staggering 1,500% increase from May after the World Cup commenced. The exchange also noted a 4.6-fold rise in active users and an almost nine-fold increase in completed orders.

Furthermore, the exchange revealed that nearly 44% of newly registered users placed their first trade through its prediction markets. Football markets served as the primary draw for these newcomers, before some expanded into crypto price predictions.

Polymarket’s comparatively subdued performance during the World Cup month, in contrast to Kalshi, has occurred amidst criticism on several fronts. For instance, a Wall Street Journal investigation published in June alleged that the platform has utilized staged winning bets in its promotional videos.

A recent dispute also garnered significant attention, wherein a user accused Polymarket of altering the rules of a market tied to Strategy’s Bitcoin sale, raising questions about how such firms resolve contested outcomes.

  • AI Safety a Pretext for Frontier Tech Lockdown, Says Perplexity Co-Founder

AI Safety a Pretext for Frontier Tech Lockdown, Says Perplexity Co-Founder

AI Safety Debate Criticized for Concentrating Power, Not Preventing Harm

The conversation around artificial intelligence safety is fundamentally flawed, according to Andy Konwinski, co-founder of Perplexity AI and Databricks. He argues that the focus on safety is being exploited to consolidate power rather than genuinely mitigate risks. Konwinski articulated this perspective in a recent essay, with the AI company Anthropic serving as a key example.

    Anthropic’s Reversal Highlights Concerns

Konwinski’s argument centers on a decision made by Anthropic that was reversed within 48 hours. On June 9, when Anthropic released Claude Fable 5, a detail within its extensive 319-page system card revealed that the model would subtly degrade its responses for users suspected of training competing AI systems.

The discovery of this provision by researchers quickly drew widespread criticism online. While Anthropic rescinded the policy, Konwinski contends that this retraction does not alter the broader implications. “The problem isn’t that Anthropic made a bad decision,” he wrote. “The problem is that they assumed the decision was theirs to make.”

“Concentration of Power in AI” Essay and Laude Institute Meeting

Konwinski’s essay, titled “Concentration of power in AI is a risk, not a solution,” was published following “Open Frontier,” a working meeting he organized through his nonprofit, the Laude Institute. The event took place at San Francisco’s Exploratorium on June 30 and was attended by approximately 100 researchers.

Western Open Frontier Model Lacking, Safety Messaging Questioned

Jennifer Chayes, dean of UC Berkeley’s College of Computing, Data Science, and Society, recently told a funding panel that Berkeley researchers are “all building on Chinese models because we don’t have a Western open frontier model.” She further characterized the safety messaging from OpenAI and Anthropic, particularly in the lead-up to their initial public offerings, as a “very effective fear campaign.”

    Centralized Access Creates New Risks

Konwinski’s core argument is that centralizing access to AI does not eliminate risk; instead, it introduces a new set of dangers. He likens AI to foundational infrastructure such as railroads, electricity, and the internet, technologies that reshaped society based on control of their underlying layers. AI, he posits, is poised to do the same. As an alternative, Konwinski advocates for a “research commons” that provides frontier-scale computing resources, enabling leading researchers to advance the field without requiring permission from private laboratories.

LeCun Echoes Concerns on Power Concentration

Yann LeCun, Meta’s former chief scientist, publicly supported Konwinski’s essay on X (formerly Twitter). “I’ve been disseminating a similar message for years,” LeCun stated. “The concentration of power in AI and the desire for control is by far the biggest danger of AI.”

LeCun drew a historical parallel, comparing the current situation to “medieval obscurantism akin to the Ottoman empire banning the use of the printing press for 200 years, in part to keep control of the dogma, but also to protect the corporation of the calligraphers and scribes.”

Infrastructure Will Be Open, Applications Will Drive Profit

LeCun predicts that the future of AI infrastructure will be open. “Infrastructure wants to be open,” he wrote. “Foundation models are becoming an infrastructure and will inevitably become commoditized. Long term, the money is in the application layer.”

Following his departure from Meta in late 2025, LeCun launched AMI Labs in Paris in March 2026 with $1.03 billion in seed funding. This venture, which operates on world models and his JEPA architecture, plans to open-source its research and does not anticipate a commercial product for several years, representing his own approach to the evolving AI landscape.

Ripple Joins Initiative to Support Unemployed Veterans on US Independence Day

As the United States, the world’s most powerful economy and a leading global democracy, approaches its 250th Independence Day, various initiatives are surfacing to mark the occasion. Among them is a new commitment from Ripple, the company behind the popular XRP altcoin.

Ripple has announced its participation in a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping unemployed veterans secure high-quality jobs following their military service. The organization, known as the Call of Duty Endowment, has already assisted over 165,000 veterans. However, it highlights a persistent high unemployment rate among younger veterans, indicating that “there’s still more work to do.”

The Call of Duty Endowment aims to place 200,000 veterans into employment by 2030. Ripple’s involvement is part of a special initiative for the US’s 250th birthday, dubbed #Giving4th, which seeks to establish Independence Day as a national day of charitable giving. Ripple has pledged to match donations made to the Call of Duty Endowment, up to a total of $10,000.

Individuals wishing to contribute can do so through various means, including cash, stock, or cryptocurrencies. Notably, Ripple’s own native tokens, XRP and RLUSD, are also accepted for donations.

The Fourth of July, celebrated annually on July 4th, commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence in 1776 and is a federal holiday in the United States.

  • ChangeNOW’s Trading Engine: Powering Fast, Seamless Swaps

ChangeNOW’s Trading Engine: Powering Fast, Seamless Swaps

Open exchange, and a crypto swap, appears to be a remarkably straightforward process: select two tokens, send one, and receive the other. The non-custodial exchange claims this typically takes mere minutes, spanning over 110 blockchains, including Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, and Solana.

This swift and streamlined service, according to Chief Strategy Officer Pauline Shangett, is underpinned by a robust infrastructure supporting more than 70 fiat options and over 1,500 digital assets, with new additions occurring weekly.

ChangeNOW functions as “a trading engine that a lot of people can access all at once,” Shangett explained. The platform acts as an intermediary between users and centralized or decentralized exchanges, executing trades on behalf of clients “without the client having to watch over things like the order book, transaction fees, and complicated interfaces.”

This engine relies heavily on its own liquidity reserves. Shangett stated that ChangeNOW “mostly operates in our own liquidity when it comes to swaps,” pricing trades based on exchange order books from which it sources liquidity, market data feeds like CoinMarketCap, and an in-house “liquidity engine” comprising wallets holding balances for specific token pairs. Operating with its own reserves, she argued, means “network speed is not as much of a liability as it could be.”

A recent benchmark by swap aggregator Swapzone, analyzing 150,000 transactions, found ChangeNOW’s median settlement time for a USDT-to-ETH swap to be under a minute, significantly faster than the industry median of approximately 45 minutes.

Naturally, such comparisons depend on the specific token pairs and conditions tested, as ChangeNOW facilitates swaps across a wide array of tokens, including meme coins, AI coins, DeFi, GameFi, stablecoins, privacy coins, DePIN, and RWA.

Fiat currency support is facilitated through “trusted partners” such as Transak, Simplex, Banxa, and Guardarian, enabling ChangeNOW users to purchase cryptocurrency using Visa, MasterCard, Google Pay, Apple Pay, FasterPay, SEPA, Pix, ACH, and Revolut.

    Expanding Beyond Swaps

ChangeNOW has introduced a suite of new tools that broaden its offerings beyond simple token swaps. Private transfers route transactions in a way that conceals the sender’s wallet address and on-chain history from the recipient, while still maintaining AML monitoring in the background. Users can also generate a Permanent Exchange Address, a fixed, reusable deposit address that automatically converts any incoming cryptocurrency into a preselected payout coin, designed for recurring conversions.

Additionally, a new crypto payment link allows users to create a shareable link to request or accept payments in Bitcoin, stablecoins, and over 100 other assets. A prediction markets hub aggregates popular markets across cryptocurrency, politics, finance, and pop culture, providing a centralized platform for tracking and comparison.

    Managing Volatility and Ensuring Stability

Demand shocks are managed through geographical diversification. Shangett cited the 2021 Dogecoin frenzy, a Monero liquidity crunch, and the more recent TRUMP token launch as significant stress tests. The team’s global presence across time zones allows for proactive inventory positioning. “We get extra liquidity for that particular token for when American users wake up,” she said, noting that these surges are when ChangeNOW “sets our transaction records.”

For thinly traded or volatile pairs, Shangett stated, “we actively manage liquidity to ensure stability.” This sometimes leads to the imposition of minimum or maximum trade sizes, though when minimal amounts are required, they are “incredibly low,” sometimes as little as $2. During periods of Ethereum network congestion, the solution is direct: “adjusting the network fee,” which ChangeNOW occasionally absorbs. In the event of chain halts, forks, or hacks, “we provide real-time alerts” that swaps on networks like BNB Chain or Solana may experience delays.

    Customer Support and Unreported Innovations

The exchange is “proud” of its 4.6 rating on Trustpilot, based on over 13,000 reviews, as validation of its approach, complemented by 24/7 support for any issues.

This support structure includes an “L0” community team on social channels, “L1” handling chat and email tickets, escalating to L2 and then to L3 engineers “on call pretty much 24/7,” Shangett said. Emergencies trigger an “all-hands, rapid-response protocol” that activates L3 and L4 engineers, though “most of them can be solved by either our compliance department or L2 engineers.”

When asked about an unreported area of pride, Shangett highlighted the platform’s cross-DEX bridging capabilities, describing it as “a lot cheaper and a lot faster than a traditional decentralized cross-chain bridge.” She also emphasized the significance of its private transfers, which are utilized for both B2B and B2C transactions, as well as within the platform’s self-custody wallet, NOW Wallet.

“We’ve always been huge privacy nuts,” she stated. “It allows people to send funds to basically anybody without doxing their initial wallet address, which might be critical for legal entities or high net worth individuals, or just people who care about their privacy a lot, and we’ve seen quite a lot of use of this feature since its release.”

Simplicity remains a continuous pursuit, with ChangeNOW constantly refining its offerings, Shangett noted. Some of this streamlining occurs on the backend, as the exchange “upgrades our strong foundation to make it even better.” The focus is on incremental improvements, she added, aimed at making the platform “a little bit faster, a little bit more optimal, a little bit safer, and more secure.”

  • XRP: Fakeout or Prelude to Volatility?

XRP: Fakeout or Prelude to Volatility?

XRP Derivatives Signal Cautious Optimism Amidst Shifting Market Dynamics

XRP is currently exhibiting a notable derivatives setup among large-cap altcoins. While its price is experiencing a gradual ascent, open interest has been declining. Typically, this scenario suggests traders are withdrawing from the market. However, when coupled with a rising net position delta, it warrants closer observation.

    Short Covering Fuels Current Uptrend

According to analysts, the recent uptrend in XRP appears to be primarily driven by the closure of short positions rather than aggressive new buying. In simpler terms, bearish traders are exiting the market, and this short-covering pressure is contributing to XRP’s price increase. While this can support a steady upward movement, it is insufficient for a sustained rally. A genuine acceleration typically occurs when new buyers enter the market with conviction.

    Open Interest Reflects Waning Conviction

The significance of open interest lies in its indication of leverage. A decreasing open interest suggests a reduction in leverage, not an increase, which is generally a sign of waning conviction among traders.

Daily Outlook and Key Resistance Levels

The daily outlook supports a cautious bullish bias. XRP closed bullishly in yesterday’s trading session, but it must maintain this position to avoid slipping back into weaker territory. Consequently, a move towards the resistance level at $1.13 is crucial. Stronger momentum could potentially drive the price even higher.

    The Real Trigger for Acceleration

The key signal that traders should monitor is a simultaneous increase in both open interest and net position delta. This would indicate a market shift from an environment where price increases are driven by short covering to one where new long positions are being established. Such a shift could lead to a more rapid acceleration in XRP’s price.

    Intraday Volatility and Potential Breakout

Intraday, XRP remains relatively volatile and confined within a trading range. A successful push above and sustained hold of $1.18 could present an opportunity for buyers to re-enter the market with significant force.

For the time being, the signal is clear: bears appear to be relinquishing their hold, but bulls have yet to enter the market with decisive conviction.

  • Bitcoin Stays Above $62K Amid Altcoin Rally

Bitcoin Stays Above $62K Amid Altcoin Rally

Bitcoin Holds Above $62K Amid Broader Market Recovery

The cryptocurrency market has sustained its recovery over the past 24 hours, with most large-cap altcoins trading in positive territory. Bitcoin has maintained its recent rebound, while several altcoins have posted even stronger daily gains.

The total cryptocurrency market capitalization has also increased, as traders have returned to risk assets following a volatile start to the month. Bitcoin’s dominance has remained steady, suggesting a balanced market recovery is underway.

Bitcoin’s price has largely traded in the green over the last 24 hours, holding above the $62,000 mark after reclaiming it earlier in the week. The digital asset was trading at approximately $62,500, representing a roughly 1.3% increase on the day and a 3.6% gain for the week.

BTC experienced a relatively tight daily trading range, briefly dipping towards $61,500 before buyers intervened and pushed the price back up. It reached an intraday high of around $62,800, keeping its market capitalization near $1.25 trillion.

Flows into spot Bitcoin Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) also showed signs of stabilization. US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded net inflows of approximately $220 million on July 2nd. Notably, the majority of these inflows were directed towards Fidelity’s products, as BlackRock clients continued to divest, offloading over $40 million.

The broader cryptocurrency market has also seen improvement, with total market capitalization surpassing $2.2 trillion.

Ethereum was trading around $1,754, marking a gain of over 2% on the day and a significant 11% increase over the past week, positioning it as a standout performer. Among other large-cap altcoins, Hyperliquid’s HYPE token was among the biggest gainers in the last 24 hours, rising above $71 with an increase of more than 6%. Cardano also experienced a sharp advance, while XRP, Stellar, Dogecoin, Solana, and others posted more modest gains.

The market’s next key test will be whether Bitcoin can break above the current resistance zone between $62,000 and $63,000, while altcoin momentum continues into the weekend.
