  • Altman’s AI Forecasts XRP Price for Next 30 Days

Altman’s AI Forecasts XRP Price for Next 30 Days

ChatGPT, the artificial intelligence developed by Sam Altman, is forecasting a significant upward movement for XRP over the next 30 days, projecting a price target between $1.55 and $1.80. This optimistic outlook contrasts with XRP’s current trading price of $1.238. According to the AI’s analysis, a “squeeze scenario” pushing the price toward $1.60 and beyond could be triggered if XRP successfully reclaims the $1.35 level as support.

    A Clear Bullish Signal

The bullish case presented by ChatGPT is straightforward, with the timing of the potential catalyst adding a layer of intrigue to this week’s XRP price predictions. After months of underperformance, a substantial amount of capital is reportedly on the sidelines, awaiting a clear signal to re-enter the market. ChatGPT suggests this signal may be imminent.

Several factors are contributing to this optimistic forecast: growing institutional interest in exchange-traded funds (ETFs), an uptick in activity on the XRP Ledger (XRPL), and the dissipation of regulatory uncertainty that has historically suppressed participation. The AI posits that the convergence of these three elements could pave the way for aggressive capital rotation once Bitcoin stabilizes and allows altcoins more room to maneuver.

The $1.35 mark is identified by ChatGPT as a critical technical trigger. Currently acting as resistance, its conversion into support, confirmed by volume, would signify a shift from a period of range-bound trading to a momentum-driven surge towards $1.60 and higher. This precise identification of a technical level offers a tangible benchmark, moving beyond vague directional forecasts.

    The Bearish Counterpoint

The AI also outlines a specific bearish scenario. The zone between $1.15 and $1.18 is identified as the most crucial support level on the downside. A decisive breach of this area could lead to a liquidity flush, pushing XRP’s price towards $1.00, a level not seen since before its significant breakout in late 2024.

Potential catalysts for such a downturn include broad market weakness or a waning of ETF momentum. Both are considered live risks given Bitcoin’s current market position.

    Chart Analysis and Historical Context

XRP is closing the current week at $1.238, marking a nearly 7% decline over the past seven days. The weekly chart, extending back to early 2024, reveals a pattern not observed since the initial breakout in late 2024: the price is approaching the “launch zone” where significant institutional repricing began.

The rapid ascent from $0.55 to $3.40 in late 2024 occurred too quickly to establish robust structural support levels. This speed, while fueling the initial surge, now hinders recovery, as there are few strong historical support zones between $1.00 and $1.60 built through accumulation rather than simply being traversed during a parabolic move.

The $1.20 level represents the closest approximation to a genuine floor on the current chart, having been tested and held on multiple weekly closes since February. This week’s candle low of $1.188 dipped below $1.20 intraweek before recovering to close at $1.238, mirroring the wick behavior observed at the February low. Such instances of trading below support followed by a recovery close are often interpreted as a final liquidity grab before a substantial bounce, aligning with ChatGPT’s $1.15 to $1.18 bearish floor.

If the $1.20 level holds on a weekly closing basis, the base between $1.20 and $1.60 is expected to remain intact, keeping the $1.55 to $1.80 target within reach. A break below this level would point to $1.00 as the next significant historical level, marking the beginning of pre-election institutional positioning in late 2024.

    The Rotation Beyond Established Assets

The market rotation is already underway, though its direction may not be immediately apparent to many. Large-cap cryptocurrencies are not necessarily “broken” but rather “capped,” with Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP all encountering similar resistance bands tested repeatedly in recent weeks.

The anticipated macroeconomic relief that could fuel the next leg of the rally continues to be delayed, and expected institutional inflows are being pushed back. Holding assets whose upside is entirely dependent on external catalysts presents a strategy with a discernible ceiling.

Savvy investors who understand market cycles are reportedly moving their capital before the next trend becomes obvious. Early-stage infrastructure projects, operating with fundamentally different market dynamics, offer the potential for dramatic price movements with relatively modest capital rotations due to their smaller market capitalization.

The upside potential in these nascent projects remains largely unpriced, as the market has yet to fully discover their value. This gap between intrinsic worth and current market perception is where asymmetric returns can be generated.

    LiquidChain: Addressing DeFi Fragmentation

Multi-chain fragmentation poses a persistent and costly challenge in decentralized finance (DeFi). Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana each operate with isolated liquidity infrastructure, lacking native interoperability. Users transferring value between these ecosystems incur costs through fees, slippage, and failed transactions.

LiquidChain aims to eliminate these costs by consolidating these three networks into a single execution layer. This approach promises a unified deployment with full ecosystem access, removing the “cross-chain tax” on every interaction.

The LiquidChain presale is currently priced at $0.01454, with over $700,000 raised. This is described not as marketing jargon but as an accurate reflection of its current lifecycle stage.

The project acknowledges that its execution and adoption remain unproven, presenting real risks that are openly stated. While established assets offer a more predictable path to a visible ceiling, LiquidChain presents an opportunity to participate in a project at its foundational stages.

Gate Partners with Alpaca to Expand Real Stock Trading Access

Cayman Islands, British Overseas Territories, June 3rd, 2026 – Gate has announced a strategic partnership with Alpaca, a move designed to broaden access to real stock trading for eligible users. This collaboration represents a significant step in Gate’s ongoing initiative to integrate digital assets with traditional financial markets, offering a unified multi-asset trading experience.

The upcoming launch will grant Gate users access to over 10,000 stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) across major U.S. securities markets, including the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and Nasdaq. The service will support fractional share trading, with a minimum purchase requirement of just $1. By leveraging Gate’s unified account system, users will be able to trade stocks and ETFs using USDT, thereby fostering a more seamless connection between digital assets and conventional financial markets.

Expanding Access to Traditional Financial Markets

Established in 2013, Gate has evolved into a prominent global platform for cryptocurrency and integrated financial services, serving more than 54 million users worldwide. The forthcoming introduction of stock trading is a key component of Gate’s long-term strategy to develop a comprehensive, multi-asset platform that bridges digital assets and traditional financial markets.

Historically, accessing global equity markets has often necessitated opening separate brokerage accounts, navigating complex onboarding processes, and managing capital across disparate platforms.

To address these challenges, Gate has expanded its offerings beyond its core digital asset services, aiming to build a more holistic financial ecosystem. The introduction of its stock trading services marks a crucial advancement toward creating a unified environment where users can access multiple asset classes through a single platform and account structure. Gate’s stock offering will provide access to real stock and ETF trading via regulated market infrastructure, allowing users to engage with traditional financial markets within a familiar, crypto-native experience.

    Powered by Alpaca’s Brokerage Infrastructure

Gate selected Alpaca as its infrastructure partner due to its regulated, self-clearing brokerage framework, its API-first architecture, and its extensive experience supporting financial platforms globally. As the clearing broker partner, Alpaca will be responsible for the execution, clearing, settlement, and custody of orders, as well as managing dividend payments and corporate actions.

This integration enables Gate to efficiently scale its stock trading capabilities while maintaining a fluid user experience. By utilizing Alpaca’s brokerage infrastructure, Gate can offer eligible users access to a wide array of U.S.-listed stocks and ETFs, further solidifying its position as a leading multi-asset trading platform.

A Shared Vision for Financial Accessibility

Dr. Han, Founder and CEO of Gate, stated, “The future of finance is becoming increasingly interconnected. As the boundaries between digital assets and traditional financial markets continue to evolve, users are looking for more efficient ways to access a broader range of investment opportunities. Our partnership with Alpaca will help advance that vision by providing seamless access to real stock market investing while maintaining the simplicity and efficiency that users expect from a modern digital asset platform. We believe multi-asset access will play an increasingly important role in the next generation of global financial services.”

Yoshi Yokokawa, Co-Founder and CEO of Alpaca, commented, “At Alpaca, our mission is to open financial services to everyone on the planet through modern infrastructure. We are pleased to partner with Gate as it expands access to the U.S. stock market and continues building a more comprehensive financial ecosystem for users around the world. Together, we are helping create a more connected and efficient global investment experience.”

    Advancing Gate’s Multi-Asset Strategy

The partnership with Alpaca aligns with Gate’s overarching strategy to construct a unified platform that connects digital assets with traditional financial markets. In addition to its forthcoming support for trading across more than 10,000 stock assets, Gate is actively expanding its traditional finance (TradFi) offerings to include equities, indices, commodities, metals, and foreign exchange markets, providing users with enhanced opportunities for cross-market participation and portfolio diversification.

As the convergence between cryptocurrency and traditional finance accelerates, Gate remains committed to broadening market access, improving capital efficiency, and delivering a more streamlined multi-asset investing experience for users globally.

  • Schwab Aims for Mid-2027 Crypto Trading Launch for Advisors

Schwab Aims for Mid-2027 Crypto Trading Launch for Advisors

Schwab Eyes 2027 for Advisor Crypto Trading Launch

Charles Schwab is reportedly gearing up to expand its cryptocurrency offerings, with plans to introduce spot trading, transfer, and custody services for financial advisors on its platform by 2027. This strategic move would significantly broaden direct digital asset access within one of the largest advisor networks in U.S. wealth management, extending Schwab’s crypto ambitions beyond its recently launched retail services.

Jalina Kerr, Managing Director of Schwab Advisor Services, indicated during a virtual media roundtable that the firm is targeting a launch next year. While the timeline is not definitive, Kerr emphasized that the project remains active and on schedule, suggesting a rollout around the middle of 2027.

A Significant Development for the Crypto Market

The proposed product would equip advisors with direct access to spot crypto trading, transfer, and custody tools integrated into Schwab’s existing custody infrastructure. This represents a key distinction from Schwab’s current retail offering, which began earlier this year. An advisor-focused rollout would embed cryptocurrency trading directly within the operational workflows of registered investment advisors managing client portfolios. This contrasts with current practices, where clients might manage exchange accounts independently or rely solely on exchange-traded crypto products.

Charles Schwab stands as a major player in custody and brokerage, reporting $12.61 trillion in total client assets and 39.3 million active brokerage accounts as of April 30, 2026. The Schwab Advisor Services division alone manages approximately $5.31 trillion in client assets, highlighting the substantial scale of the advisor channel that could benefit from direct crypto tools.

This advisor initiative follows Schwab’s April announcement of Schwab Crypto, a phased retail platform that initially offered spot trading for Bitcoin and Ethereum. The retail service allows eligible U.S. clients to trade BTC and ETH across Schwab’s digital platforms, with a fee of 75 basis points on the dollar value of each trade. Schwab has also stated its intention to incorporate additional cryptocurrencies and introduce deposit and withdrawal capabilities in the future.

Currently, the retail crypto accounts are facilitated by Charles Schwab Premier Bank, SSB, with Paxos providing sub-custody and trade execution services. Schwab’s disclosures also clearly delineate the differences between crypto products and traditional brokerage protections, noting that crypto products are “not FDIC insured, not SIPC protected, not deposits, and may lose value.” These distinctions are expected to be carefully considered for the advisor product.

While Schwab has confirmed the fee structure, custody setup, and asset list for its retail launch, details regarding the 2027 advisor rollout remain unconfirmed. It is yet to be determined if the service will initially focus solely on Bitcoin and Ethereum, whether the pricing will mirror the retail 75 basis point fee, or if Paxos will also support the advisor-side infrastructure.

Schwab already provides investors with access to a range of crypto-linked products, including exchange-traded products tied to Bitcoin and Ethereum, crypto-related equities, futures, mutual funds, trusts, and listed options on spot Bitcoin ETPs. However, the introduction of direct spot trading and custody would position Schwab to offer a more comprehensive crypto infrastructure for advisors, moving beyond mere market access through securities wrappers.

At press time, the total cryptocurrency market capitalization stood at $2.32 trillion.

  • Dogecoin’s 2021 Surge: Could History Repeat at $2?

Dogecoin’s 2021 Surge: Could History Repeat at $2?

Dogecoin Analyst Predicts $2 Rally, Citing 2021 Bull Run Parallels

A cryptocurrency analyst has presented a new bullish outlook for Dogecoin (DOGE), highlighting a long-term chart pattern that he claims mirrors the setup preceding the meme coin’s explosive rally in 2021. The analyst also pointed to recurring shifts in market sentiment, where traders often dismiss early price movements before rushing to buy at higher levels.

    Dogecoin Forecasted to Reach $2

Market analyst Crypto Patel shared a new Dogecoin chart analysis on X, projecting a potential rally toward the $2 mark within the current market cycle. His optimistic forecast is rooted in historical market patterns, with a particular emphasis on the robust structure observed during Dogecoin’s significant bull run in 2021.

In that previous cycle, Dogecoin surged from a low of approximately $0.002 in 2020 to a peak exceeding $0.72 in 2021. This represented a gain of over 26,800%, solidifying its place as one of the most dramatic rallies in meme coin history. Prior to reaching its all-time high, the chart exhibited two major breakouts, followed by successive upward movements categorized as stages 3, 4, and 5.

Crypto Patel argues that Dogecoin’s current chart configuration closely resembles this 2021 bull pattern. He noted that the meme coin has already experienced two breakout phases between 2023 and 2024, followed by a retest of key support levels within a broader accumulation zone. Following this retest, Dogecoin initiated its next significant upward leg in 2025, labeled as stage 3 on the chart. Since then, the meme coin’s price has traded within a tight range inside a descending channel. The chart also indicates another retest of the previous accumulation area around the $0.11 level, which the analyst interprets as a second confirmation of support.

Based on this structural analysis, Crypto Patel believes Dogecoin is poised for a sharp rally toward $2. From its current levels near $0.10, this would signify a potential increase of more than 2,700%.

Market Psychology and DOGE’s Path to $2

In addition to chart patterns, Crypto Patel also discussed the role of market sentiment and psychology in influencing Dogecoin’s potential ascent to $2. The analyst observed that at lower price points, such as $0.05, many traders still dismissed Dogecoin as a defunct asset.

As the meme coin climbed towards $0.25, Crypto Patel noted that some market participants remained hesitant, expecting a price correction and observing from the sidelines. Once Dogecoin approaches the $1 mark, the analyst predicts that a strong sense of Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO) will likely re-emerge in the market, driving investors to chase potential gains. Finally, at his projected target of $2, he anticipates a familiar pattern of regret among those who did not invest earlier, mirroring sentiment seen in past bull cycles.

  • Ethereum Poised to Outshine Bitcoin as Prices Fall: Standard Chartered

Ethereum Poised to Outshine Bitcoin as Prices Fall: Standard Chartered

Strategy’s Bitcoin Sale Signals Potential Turning Point for Ethereum, Analyst Says

Standard Chartered’s Geoff Kendrick has identified a counterintuitive shift favoring Ethereum following Strategy’s recent Bitcoin sale. The move, disclosed on Monday, has created favorable conditions for the second-largest digital asset by market capitalization, which has lagged behind Bitcoin for months, according to a Tuesday note from the bank’s head of digital asset research.

Kendrick observed that Ethereum experienced one of its most significant price movements against Bitcoin in years after Strategy reduced its holdings by $2.5 million. He further noted that since the beginning of 2024, Ethereum has demonstrated stronger daily gains relative to Bitcoin, experiencing fewer instances of decline.

The analyst projects that Bitcoin’s dominance over Ethereum will diminish by year’s end to levels not seen since September, forecasting a ratio of 0.04. Under this scenario, and assuming Bitcoin’s price remains stable, Kendrick estimates Bitcoin would be valued at $67,300, while Ethereum would surge 41% from its current $1,900 to approximately $2,700.

Kendrick highlighted a key difference in business models between firms that invest in Ethereum and those that favor Bitcoin. He explained that Ethereum’s staking mechanism, which allows participants to earn rewards by validating transactions and generating revenue, reduces the necessity for sales compared to Bitcoin-holding companies.

Last week, Standard Chartered projected a year-end target of $4,000 for Ethereum, arguing that its current price does not reflect its improving internal metrics. Kendrick drew a parallel between this disparity and Amazon’s significant decline during the dot-com bubble’s collapse.

Kendrick’s analysis specifically focused on the “ETH/BTC” ratio. This ratio reached a peak of 0.042 in August of the previous year, coinciding with Ethereum’s all-time high near $5,000. However, the asset, built around smart contracts that power tokens, decentralized applications, and NFTs, has historically trended lower since 2022.

Despite this historical trend, Kendrick believes Ethereum is well-positioned to benefit from increasing Wall Street interest in stablecoins as a modern form of money and in tokenization as a new market infrastructure.

Ethereum’s prominence in these areas has been acknowledged by major asset managers like BlackRock. Kendrick has set a long-term price target of $40,000 for Ethereum by the end of the decade, while anticipating Bitcoin to reach $500,000 over the same period.

Historically, periods of Bitcoin rallying to all-time highs have been followed by a sustained outperformance of altcoins, a phenomenon known as “alt season.” However, some analysts have questioned this traditional market dynamic, pointing to the maturation of Bitcoin’s market structure, particularly with the introduction of exchange-traded funds.

  • Microsoft AI Models Surpass Claude, Google’s Nano Banana

Microsoft AI Models Surpass Claude, Google’s Nano Banana

Microsoft Unveils Seven New AI Models, Challenging Rivals

REDMOND, Wash. – Microsoft kicked off its annual Build developer conference Tuesday by announcing seven new artificial intelligence models, asserting that they surpass key benchmarks set by competitors like Anthropic and Google. The move signals Microsoft’s ambition to be recognized as a leading AI innovator, not just a major investor and infrastructure provider for OpenAI.

“Super excited to announce seven new world-class MAI models today,” Microsoft AI CEO Mustafa Suleyman posted on X. “They represent what we consider a new era in AI designed to keep you in control and on the frontier.”

At the forefront of this release is MAI-Thinking-1, a reasoning model that Microsoft is positioning as its flagship text foundation model.

According to Suleyman, independent evaluators found MAI-Thinking-1 to be preferred over Anthropic’s Claude Sonnet 4.6 in blind tests. He also stated that the model achieved a 97% score on AIME 2025, a benchmark designed to assess advanced problem-solving and reasoning capabilities.

Suleyman further noted that the model’s performance on the SWE Bench Pro places it “right alongside Opus 4.6 on one of the toughest coding benchmarks.”

The company also introduced MAI-Code-1-Flash, a streamlined coding model developed for integration with GitHub Copilot and Visual Studio Code. Additionally, MAI-Image-2.5 and its “Flash” variant are claimed to outperform Google’s Nano Banana Pro in image-editing tasks. Rounding out the new offerings are MAI Transcribe-1.5, a transcription model supporting 43 languages, and MAI-Voice-2, a speech-generation model capable of producing natural-sounding voices in 15 languages and adapting to a speaker’s voice from brief audio samples.

“This is an extraordinary time in technology. The compute used to train frontier models has increased by a factor of one trillion,” Suleyman stated in a separate blog post detailing the new models. “Now we expect another thousand-fold increase over the next three years, which in turn means more advanced capabilities, and the continued rollout of ever more effective AI.”

This announcement arrives amidst escalating competition among major AI developers. Last week, Anthropic revealed its latest flagship model, Opus 4.8, which the company reported as being faster and more capable on benchmark tests, along with a suite of new features. On Tuesday, Anthropic also announced an expansion of its Project Glasswing, granting 150 companies access to its new cybersecurity-focused Mythos model.

Meanwhile, at its Google I/O event in May, Google unveiled Gemini Omni, a multimodal AI model that integrates Gemini with the company’s Veo, Nano Banana, and Genie media-generation models. Google also introduced Gemini Spark, a cloud-based AI agent designed to manage tasks across applications and workflows on behalf of users.

Microsoft’s introduction of its own proprietary AI models suggests a strategic shift to build in-house capabilities, moving beyond its established reliance on OpenAI’s technology. The company indicated that its MAI models “delivered the highest win rate, outperforming GPT-5.5 on quality, while being 10x lower on cost.”

“Developers and businesses have been crying out for AI that delivers on their terms and under their say,” Suleyman wrote. “We see this as a major step towards delivering that.”

  • Robinhood Launches in Canada Following WonderFi Deal

Robinhood Launches in Canada Following WonderFi Deal

Robinhood Markets has officially entered the Canadian market, finalizing its $180 million acquisition of WonderFi, a Toronto-based digital asset firm. The deal positions Robinhood to leverage WonderFi’s established, regulated cryptocurrency exchanges.

    Canadian Market Entry

With this acquisition, Robinhood gains control of WonderFi’s two regulated crypto trading platforms, Bitbuy and Coinsquare. Canadian users will soon have access to the Robinhood app, which features a flat 0.5% fee on CAD trades, alongside the company’s familiar interface, user experience, and global infrastructure.

Robinhood stated in a press release that it intends to continue supporting WonderFi’s existing institutional relationships in Canada. This move complements the institutional business already developed through Bitstamp and aligns with Robinhood’s broader strategy to create an integrated global financial ecosystem.

    Growth and Expansion

The acquisition significantly boosts Robinhood’s international customer base, bringing its total to over 1 million funded international customers. Approximately 300,000 of these new customers were acquired through WonderFi. WonderFi employees will be integrated into Robinhood’s existing Canadian workforce, which already comprises over 240 individuals. Robinhood established its Canadian headquarters in Toronto in 2024, designating it as an engineering hub, citing the country’s robust technology talent pool.

Johann Kerbrat, SVP and General Manager of Robinhood Crypto & International, commented on the acquisition: “WonderFi has extensive experience operating regulated crypto platforms that serve beginner and advanced crypto users alike, making it an ideal partner to accelerate Robinhood’s mission in Canada. We’re pleased to have closed our acquisition and look forward to delivering innovative, user-centric investing products to Canadian customers.”

    Market Context

The acquisition follows a period of declining crypto trading activity for Robinhood in the first quarter. Crypto transaction revenue saw a 47% year-over-year decrease, falling to $134 million, while crypto trading volume dropped 48% to $24 billion. Despite this, the company reported a 3% increase in net income to $346 million, though it missed analyst expectations for earnings and revenue.

In February, Robinhood launched the public testnet for Robinhood Chain, an Ethereum Layer 2 network developed using Arbitrum technology. This testnet provides developers with early access to the network, allowing them to build and test applications using standard Ethereum tools ahead of a planned mainnet launch later this year. Several infrastructure providers, including Alchemy, Chainlink, LayerZero, and TRM, have reportedly begun integrating with the network.

Hyperliquid Surges: Bulls Eye Triple-Digit Prices

Hyperliquid’s HYPE Token Surges to Record High Amidst Growing Trader Optimism

Hyperliquid’s native token, HYPE, recently reached a new all-time high, surpassing $73, as investor interest and optimism surrounding the project continue to escalate.

Data from analytics firm Santiment indicates a significant surge in social activity and positive sentiment for HYPE across platforms including X, Reddit, and Telegram. The firm reported that HYPE’s social dominance has climbed to its highest level of 2026, with positive commentary increasing in tandem with the token’s price. This trend reflects growing confidence among traders, positioning Hyperliquid as one of the market’s top-performing projects.

Several factors are fueling this momentum. The project has seen a rise in perpetual futures trading volume, alongside the ongoing expansion of its decentralized trading infrastructure. Hyperliquid is increasingly being recognized as a formidable competitor to centralized derivatives exchanges.

Additional initiatives contributing to investor confidence include the introduction of new trading products, an increase in protocol revenues, and speculation about future ecosystem growth. These developments have captured market attention, accelerating discussions around HYPE and making it one of the most talked-about crypto assets.

From a technical standpoint, crypto analyst Ali Martinez suggests that HYPE’s rally may have further room to grow. He noted that previous sell signals have been invalidated and identified potential upside targets of $97 and $163, should the current momentum persist.

Echoing this bullish outlook, Bitwise Chief Investment Officer Matt Hougan recently lauded Hyperliquid as one of the most significant crypto projects to emerge in recent years. Hougan described the platform as a financial “super-app” that provides access to a diverse range of asset classes beyond just cryptocurrencies.

He further highlighted Hyperliquid’s innovative tokenomics, particularly its buyback-driven model, which he believes is designed to accrue value from inception. Based on these factors, Hougan asserted that HYPE remains substantially undervalued despite its robust performance.

Investor demand for HYPE is also evident in the exchange-traded fund (ETF) market. Following the launch of the first U.S. spot Hyperliquid ETF by 21Shares under the ticker THYP, Bitwise introduced its own ETF, BHYP. According to data from SoSoValue, these two funds have collectively attracted over $57 million and nearly $80 million in inflows since their respective launches.

  • RLUSD’s Impact on XRP Value Explained

RLUSD’s Impact on XRP Value Explained

XRP Advocate Argues New Stablecoin Bolsters, Not Undermines, XRP’s Role

Jake Claver, a prominent proponent of XRP, contends that Ripple’s forthcoming RLUSD stablecoin will not diminish the case for XRP but could, in fact, strengthen it by introducing more institution-friendly dollar liquidity to the XRP Ledger.

In a recent X thread, Claver articulated that XRP and RLUSD are designed for distinct purposes. RLUSD is envisioned as a compliant digital dollar, while XRP serves as a neutral bridge asset, facilitating value transfer across otherwise disparate markets. This perspective addresses a persistent question within the XRP community: if RLUSD can move funds instantaneously, what is XRP’s continued necessity?

Claver posits that this framing overlooks the fundamental difference between a settlement asset and a routing asset. “RLUSD is not the finish line. It is the front door,” Claver wrote. “Institutions come for a compliant digital dollar. Once they are on the ledger they start asking bigger questions. Can we tokenize securities here? Settle trades instantly? Drop the 3 day wait.”

XRP as the Ledger’s “Money Changer”

To illustrate his point, Claver employed an analogy of a historical trading port. Merchants arrive with various commodities like silk, spices, wool, salt, and gold, but rarely possess precisely what another trader desires. A silk merchant seeking pepper might first need to exchange their silk for wool before acquiring the desired spice. Claver noted that with ten goods, this creates 45 potential trading pairs; with a hundred goods, the number escalates to nearly 5,000.

His conclusion is that markets require a neutral intermediary asset to reduce friction. On the XRP Ledger, Claver asserts, XRP fulfills this role. “On the surface that looks like one trade. Underneath it is two. He buys your silk and sells you silver, both at once. Remove that money changer and the whole port slows to a crawl. On the XRP Ledger, XRP plays that exact role,” he explained.

Claver provided an example of an individual swapping a tokenized Treasury bill for a euro stablecoin. In his model, the user might perceive a single transaction—one asset entering and another exiting. However, the underlying routing path can, and often does, involve XRP. “The trader never sees the XRP step. Asset goes in, the one they want comes out. XRP sits quietly in the middle making it work,” he stated.

Why RLUSD Does Not Replace XRP

Claver described RLUSD as a digital dollar engineered to maintain a stable value of one dollar, backed by tangible reserves held in a bank. This makes it advantageous when both parties in a transaction seek dollar exposure. However, he argued that numerous future use cases on the XRP Ledger may not conclude in dollars, including the exchange of tokenized Treasuries for euro funds, lending in non-dollar currencies, or other asset-to-asset transactions.

“RLUSD is perfect anytime both sides of a trade want dollars at the end. Plenty of trades do,” Claver wrote. “But plenty do not. Tokenized Treasuries swapping into euro funds. Lending in other currencies. Any trade where neither side is USD. There, a dollar coin cannot sit in the middle.”

He then outlined three limitations that, in his view, preclude RLUSD from becoming the ledger’s universal bridge asset. Firstly, RLUSD has an issuer, introducing issuer-specific risk. Should the entity behind it encounter legal, banking, or operational challenges, the stablecoin could be impacted. XRP, in contrast, is not minted by a single issuer and cannot be deactivated by one company, he argued.

Secondly, Claver contended that a global routing asset must be neutral. Regulated stablecoins are compelled to adhere to sanctions, blacklists, and regional regulations, potentially allowing them to freeze tokens or block specific users. While this may be suitable for a regulated dollar product, Claver suggested it is less appropriate for a foundational bridge asset.

Thirdly, liquidity pools necessitate two distinct assets. RLUSD can be paired with euro stablecoins, tokenized Treasuries, or other instruments, but it cannot simultaneously represent both sides of a market. Claver concluded that the asset most likely to emerge as the primary routing layer is one that is liquid, neutral, free from issuer risk, and has a proven track record. His assertion is that XRP fits this description.

At press time, XRP was trading at $1.2628.

  • Hive Reports Revenue Surge on AI Power Bet

Hive Reports Revenue Surge on AI Power Bet

Hive Digital Technologies reported a substantial revenue increase for its fiscal year ending March 31, propelled by the surge in Bitcoin prices last year and the rapid expansion of its computing business. The Canadian miner is actively seeking to establish itself as a significant player in artificial intelligence infrastructure.

For fiscal year 2026, the company announced total revenue of $297.8 million, marking a 158 percent jump from the previous year. This growth was primarily attributed to a significant scaling up of its Bitcoin mining operations.

During the fiscal year, Hive mined 2,885 Bitcoin, more than doubling the 1,414 mined in fiscal 2025. This achievement was bolstered by an average Bitcoin price of approximately $98,000, a notable increase from the roughly $75,900 average seen the year prior.

Despite the higher mining rewards realized last year, the company’s Bitcoin holdings actually decreased over the period. Hive reported holding 150 BTC, valued at around $10 million, at the close of the fiscal year. This represents a decline from its holdings of 481 BTC as of December 31.

However, Hive’s strategic vision extends far beyond cryptocurrency. Its high-performance computing division, operating under the brand BUZZ HPC, generated $19.5 million in revenue, a 94 percent year-over-year increase. Company executives are positioning this division as the primary driver of future growth.

In May, Hive unveiled plans for a 320-megawatt AI data center in the Greater Toronto Area. Upon full completion, this facility is slated to accommodate over 100,000 Nvidia GPUs, making it what the company describes as Canada’s largest planned AI infrastructure facility under private ownership. Hive has set an ambitious target of achieving $660 million in annualized recurring revenue from its computing business by the end of 2028.

The company’s financial results were not without challenges. Hive reported a GAAP net loss of $148.4 million for the fiscal year. However, the company clarified that approximately $221 million of these losses were non-cash items, including depreciation charges.

Hive maintains operations in Canada, Sweden, and Paraguay, all powered by renewable energy sources. The company’s total installed hash rate stands at 25.1 exahashes per second.

Hive (HIVE) shares experienced a slight decline of about 2.6 percent on the day, trading recently at $4.63 according to Yahoo Finance data. Earlier in the session, the stock had reached its highest point for the year at $4.97.
